  1. That is what I did. things like pictures of hose contents and serial numbers of items I would want covered incase of a fire....guns...electronics...appliances and pictures of them are in the valuable safe
  2. The sewage plant are very capable of treating the solutions. The solutions are nowhere near as bad as what is sent down those pipes every day. They add chemical cocktails to the treating that coagulate and are mixed thouroughly. most of the contaminanted fall out of the waste as particulates and are captured in a sludge form. that sludge is very high in organics and you can imagine.....gag....the sludge is usually placed in digesters and microbs are used to break it down further and the gas...methane... is captured and usually used in some form to power or heat the plant where it is made. quite often the gas prodeuced exceds the demand at the plant an you can see the open fire torches burning at plants on occassion. The based on the final chemical composition of the sludge it is either landfilled or can be run through an incinerator and that by product landfilled. If tha material is very clean after final treatment is actuall can be used for products in things like potting soil
  3. I agree too. teh nuisance tags and the hunting season access is really too seperate issues....but both happen to target the same animal.
  4. I would think those are fine especially if you have adequate coverage on you HO Insurance. I would however spend a few extra bucks and get a good small rated safe to put the valuables in....especially papers that are such a pain to replace....passports....birth certificated...bonds and such. they are not that expensive and most can be bolted to the floor for security
  5. it is not illegal to carry more than one gun....a single gun capable of holding more than one projectile.(blackpowder revolver)...or multipl barrels ( a double or the rotating barrle Bubbs mentioned is illegal. I was present when my BIL asked the DEC at the state fair...they laughed and said "If your arms, back and shoulders can do it....have at it..." and then laughed at him....lol I am with Bubba on this...with practice and the speed loaders a second shot if pretty quick
  6. The term "idiots" you used...is that directed at the DEC for issuing the permits....the farmer for applying and handing them out....or the guys that filled them?
  7. A+ Eddie. the act of filling the tags is performing a service to the farmer/owner. no different in their eyes than spraying their crops for them to protect them. It is not hunting but if I owned the land I would want hunters to dot it. Who better to use the deer taken and, in most case, who better to do is safely and effieciently. To be honest when I have been involved in filling them myself it was always a welcomed boost to the freezer reserves since we usually were filled in the July time frame
  8. Yup just a single unti price. There is one model less expensive but less GPS features. I like the roads and map loading feature of this one. I just know with these you can always put your fingers on anyone in the hunting party....assuming they are carrying one. ...also makes it great if I am doing small stilll hunts to him because I know I am always going to come right to him.
  9. With my father getting up in years I really am saving to get a couple of these. I love the feature that I can see his location in relation to me and have 2 way communication. https://buy.garmin.com/shop/shop.do?cID=146&pID=6405 but for now we use the 250's from motorola I think.
  10. We need one of those count down clock on here...."272 days til bow season"..lol
  11. I have seen a group of four working the land I hunt....they are not very skiddish and have been out during the 7-8 am range every morning this weekend...should be an easy warm up for smarter ones...lol
  12. Congrat WNY...I got skunked. saw 9 different buck over the 3 days. had one average 8 dragging his leg at 160 yards...smaller than I wanted but tried the shot because he was obviously hurting. Didn't connect. tracked him to the posted land I can't go in...no blood from my shot and none back trail from where I shot. Maybe a car accident of an old injury. Od because I could have swore it was the buck I saw the morning I got my 9. One last shot on Tuesday afternoon. I have yet to have a mature doe within shooting range.
  13. That isn't irony....it's called revenge....sorry about the accident...just trying to lift your spirits
  14. Wny...gotta disagree with you...the article says within a few yards of...I think an uncle...that is 6 to 9 feet...come on...participating in a drive?
  15. To be honest Bubba....when I read your first sentence I thought you were going to say cut down their apple trees...lol
  16. so that would include sitting at the base of a tree and tugging on your fathers pant leg to say "Dad there is one over there"?
  17. I had mine done in the bug box as well....shines like a new quarter and the tiniest bones are untouched...much better than boiling and the teeth don't get loose
  18. That is a great price....My Fathers was 5 1/2' and it ran him $850 with an open mouth
  19. Welcome...stick around we are always looking for great input and comments
  20. No pun intended I am sure...lol Didi you find out what the rug is gonna run you yet?
  21. I saw the same thing Burt....if that was a treestand shot I bet he went in a pile. would have had to of hit the spine
  22. Those crowns on the molars are pretty sharply crowned. I think this buck was on a pretty soft diet
