Weather, Lunar, Calendar, Etc. When do you hunt?
Culvercreek hunt club replied to nybuckboy's topic in Bow Hunting
I have been luck enough to develope a fool proof method of being able to fill my freezer any time I want and it depends on one thing...my car making it to Wegmans...lol. Like many my perfered time to hunt is sheduled around...work...family events and such. -
and the regular tag is good for a buck or doe in those late seasons. The DMAP's arent good on a carry over in to next year though

Reminder to be careful out in the woods.

Now I don't know much about this crap but that is like over 5 1/2 pounds per plant...650 pounds of "product". isn't the "product" just the buds? I think they are padding their stats a bit...lol or they weighted the roots and dirt too -
Just got permission for a new farm!

ok---gotcha. less healing time
-
did it once years back and I saw the deer run into the side of a car....poor guy had just gotten his car back that day from a deer collision repair. just broke her neck and the entire deer was fine. very little damage.
-
I agree Eddie----and I hate hunting with a bow in the cold anyway...lol

Here are the pics of the rifle. I barrowed a buddy on mines bi pod for the pic...doesn't go with the gun. This is just like th pod I used...good for prone or sitting. Typo in the last post----Varix III not a II I have 1,000 into it. would let it go for 900 -
Nice mounts...congrats
-
Stalker---but following that logic I think tracking for the bow hunter would be easier with a little snow on the ground. I don't see why they don't allow it but if they don't.....we can't

Antler Restrictions - What are your thoughts?
Culvercreek hunt club replied to TheHunter's topic in Deer Hunting
I'll go one better...two years ago my father took a monster doe in late muzzle loader...175 pounds....opppps...not a doe. Nice buck with huge bases. Both broken off at about an inch long. I would like to have seen that rack.- 1885 replies

Whats so hard about passing yearling bucks?
Culvercreek hunt club replied to punch's topic in Deer Hunting
NY..I have to tak. Exception to one thing you said....the competition comment. I haven't heard one person that supports the ability to harvest a buck they want brag about how many they take. The big buck crowd, though, those comments seem to have an underlying tone of it being a competition for them...the whole rack scoring and "book" bucks to me is what ruins the sport. For me personally the act of hunting doesn't have to end in a harvest....that is just a bonus. -

Gjs....life is pretty short...I have been reading your posts today. You might want to take up golf since this sport is causing you such displeasure. -
Keep it out west with you.....rained a lot last night but none this morning...lots of shooting but no deer yet
-
I didn't think NZ had a late muzzleloader season
-
U better be in your stand...lol
-
In 30 seasons...25 bucks...plus or minus...does I have no idea...a few years I filled nuisance tags for a couple farmers and took 20 each of those 3 years. I have slowed my buck take down in the last 5 years looking for bigger ones...I have 5 that are good mature bucks

I am on my favorite table top ridge in the NZ. My favorite 700 on my lap....the drizzling has. Stopped and I have seen 6 does. Nothing following and almost no shooting today....hmmmm…did I get the date of opening day wrong...lol

Help make NY a higher quality deer state
Culvercreek hunt club replied to Santamour123's topic in General Hunting
And My point of posting those....They are there...even where most of us think they aren't. AR would like the entire experience to be easier. I bet if you went wilderness and to a great 140 or better that one would be burned in your soul. -
Well I expect to see some pics on Monday then...lol...Good luck
-
She did tell the cops....in a very appreciative way because her husband wouldn't do anything. She is the one that got me the tire iron while he sat there and quivered...and she was driving the car...lol The police didn't have an issue

Well I live in region 8 and have witnessed calls made to report a deer obviously struck by a car in a field across from my house. my neighbor was asked if the vehicle that hit it was present..."no"...is the deer in the road.."no, in the field"....they never showed. and just an FYI...you do tend towards the darmatic and exteme in your post...lol...beating a deer...lol....one blow...perfected the technique on pigs as a kid.

Take a look at a few of these from 2009. They are there. http://www.adkhunter.com/photos.html -
May not be ethical by the definition but it is moral....and I would have done it. I dispatched a deer on the thruway. lady and guy hit it..broke it's back and the lady was freaking out. The guy was a panty waste and would do nothin. I was not hunting and the only thing available to me was their tire iron. When the police arrived they never even questioned it when the lady told them what happened.
