Got the bow back from the shop and am thoroughly impressed with the QAD rest and the new strings. The shop did a great job with their tuneup, the bow is silent and smooth on the draw and is extremely quiet while shooting. While on the range other customers and employees were amazed at how quiet it was not even considering it is a 5 year old bow. Hoping this will last another 5 years before I splurge on the latest craze of hunting bows in 2021!!! Price was $360, $120 ish for all new winners choice cables and string, $175 for QAD hoyt spec. rest, new peep, new string silencers, new d- loop, paper tune, and tune-up(remove cams, clean and lube). More than I wanted to spend but 110% satisfied with their work and if I have any problems, peep rotation etc. they stand behind their work and will take care of it on the spot.

Thanks for all the info/opinions. I am going to the local bow shop, I may pay more but if I have any issues they will stand behind their work. I know I can save a buck here or there but without a bowpress I'm outta luck. They will also do a "Tune-Up" while it is broken down, remove, clean and lube all parts.

I need new string and cables and gonna pull the trigger on a qad ultrarest hdx hoyt specific drop away arrow rest. The rest is 175 at local bow shop and string and cables range 100-150. How much could I expect to pay for labor, tune-up, paper tuning etc??

Then how about this ASAT 3D leafy suit to throw over my current camo. https://asatcamo.com/store/product/asat-vanish-pro-leafy-suit -
Yes. Those are the ones. A bit expensive but I am sure they are beautiful. Maybe I will spring for a forearm and grip set.
-
Nice setup!! I see Dr.Tony Gettel does a similar setup but quite pricey for laminate foreend and grips. What grips are those? You are right about the pistol foreend not holding up. After about 6 shots my Harris ended up ripping right out of the forearm...

Used 6-700$ usually with 2-7 scope.

This is a pic of my .308 encore in action.

Culver. What mods did you have to do to get the rifle forearm onto your pistol? I have modified pistol forearms to accept a bipod but they have not lasted.

It may be because people don't want to get slammed for shooting a button buck, spike, a non 3.5 year old buck, a fawn or small "non mature" doe. Just my .02 Or maybe members don't feel the need for the pat on the back. -
As of yesterday in 4J Albany County bow only I saw 12 doe. From sun up to sun down. Most traveling with fawns in tow. I don't know whats going on. I thought for sure I would at least some bucks but I have yet to see a single one, much less any chasing activity. The rut must be on vacation here. Could be the moon, sun, wind, rain, warm weather, trickle rut whatever you want to blame it on.

I have a large cable lock and big u lock for bicycles for securing my climber to tree when I'm not there. We'll see how it works, it is on private land. I welded up a bracket for my trail cam that I bolt to camera and then use the large torx bit lags you would use for lagging deck 4x4's etc. Without torx bit it is very tough to get off of tree.

That's exactly what I did. Town Clerk had no problems!

Not willing to take the chance for the fines you might get.

Has anyone experienced this? I went twice in the past week, once to Dicks and another time to Wal-mart to get my fishing license. Both times the system had crashed and I was unable to get my fishing license. I am hoping to get it today since I will be fishing this weekend.

Any pics? Does it look like standard bluing, glossy or matte?

I just swapped a 2-7x33 redfield revolution on to my remington model 7 in .308. It use to wear a leupold vari x 2 3-9x40. Have yet to shoot it but field of view seems much better. Cant wait to get out on the range then woods with it.

Sounds like the customer service I received on my Bushnell scope with a "lifetime" warranty. Oh wait a second its because Bushnell bought Primos. Shocking!!
