Thanks Elmo. Yes it is a GREAT thing!! I went from 253 to 183 just eating healthy and limiting calories. How quiet is the 10X material? I don't want to sound like a garbage bag walking through the woods.

I lost 70 lbs since last hunting season and am looking for new Jacket and Bibs without breaking the bank. I see this 10x brand which is made by Walls seems to be well made, well reviewed and reasonably priced. It is all waterproof, breathable, thinsulate etc etc. I can get both the Jacket and Bibs for around $135. Anyone have any experience with this brand? If so how do you like it?

I own a 6" stainless. Beautiful gun and they command top dollar. Better buy it at that price.

I personally shoot the 260 grain harvester scorpion polymer tips with great results on paper. Great groups an easy to load in my TC Encore. I shoot three pellets of pyrodex pellets. I have yet to shoot a deer with them but the results on their page seem great!

Gunsmoke trading post in rotterdam walmart in glenville and target sports in glenville all had .308 150 grain core lokts. I picked some up for 22$ a box. My remington model 7 loves em. The deer on the other hand dont like em at all!

Same here. I drive locally in Albany County for a living and have seen more fawns than I can ever remember. I had to lock em up for one fawn the other morning, momma and another fawn were already on the other side.

Nice shooting. I too have an older Savage 110 in .243 and it is an absolute tack driver!!! Although it is barely enough to take down the dreaded NY whitetail. LOL

I always use my smokepole out there but now I'll just use my trusty .308. I'm in the hills so I dont have to worry much about homes plus I can really reach ou there with my .308 which would be nice.

Not sure what breaking the bank would be but I would try an Ultradot 25 or 30. I have a Ultradot 30 on a .308 Thompson Center Handgun and it handles it all day long. The 25 is around $155 and the 30 is $165 for the $10 dollar difference I would go for the 30. I agree to buy local first but the ammo "shortage" as well as the shops that are charging double what you can buy online is out of control.
