So this thread is buried down into page two of most recent. So here we go and think about how this thread dies. It's only a few on each side that want to express their feelings on the subject good or bad right or indifferent. It's just how it goes..............let's hope our country stays safe and our children prosper.

Look I'm not going to debate this with you guys. I have my opinions you have yours. I respect each one of you. It's a new world and we have to look at some civil liberties that need to be given up. -

Again I don't think it will hurt margins. Hell they took those guns out after Sandyhook and all you guys were up in arms but went back. The same will happen here. It's a pimple on a bulls ass. -

I don't think gun are a major percentage of the sales at Dicks. Honestly whenever I'm in there the gun dept is never that busy. There are some changes coming, even was said by the President he wants 21 to be the legal age to buy a gun. It's fine by me. -
The thing is it borders my brother in laws property. We hunted it years ago all the time until they started leasing then lost it. It is a great piece of property surrounded by Ag field. Shot some really nice deer there, so its worth it.

We just leased a great piece of property from Cotton Hanlon. 75 acres all wooded $2000/year. Year round access.

The NRA is going downhill. Go ahead and donate your hard earned money it will go no where. They are losing partnerships as we speak. Having a hardline stance gets you nowhere. Isolation is where it will go. Be willing to agree to some moral principles to start. My God how many more children have to die so you can have your right to an AR-15. The tide is turning watch and see. It's all about money for them and that is going to become scarce. -

At some point there has to be some give. Why not give up the AR-15 and see what happens. Again the worls has changed and we have lost some of our freedoms get used to it. -

My friends post...... Numerous friends and family have been asking about the tragic incident and the police response to Stoneman Douglas. It's very complicated.I can remember when I took the physical test in 1980 for the NJSP. One part of the test was boxing. You put on 12oz boxing gloves and fought like hell with whomever they put in front of you. I found out later they didn't care how you fought they just wanted to see when you got hit bad if there was any surrender in you. If you never stopped fighting and never gave up you passed. There was no time limit and if you were a good fighter they would throw 3 or four other guys at you till you got beat down so they could judge. I'm sure it wasn't perfect but some people undoubtedly got weeded out that wouldn't get into a battle if need be. Needless to say the screening process isn't like that anymore. Basically nowyour courage isn't tested till the shit hits the fan. Some lucky ones will never have their courage tested. This is either by avoidance or sheer luck.I have had fellow officers stand by and not jump in when I was in a knock down drag out fight. They froze either out of fear or inability to process what was going on. Like one of my best friends who is a K9 handler stated perfectly " There may be a time when you pin on this badge, you may HAVE to go out in a blaze of glory". Well I believe hearing children scream while they are being slaughtered is that time...
