  1. Sorry to hear Eddie she was way too young, my condolences.
  2. Paula, It is so nice up here. Not much traffic on my road, only one neighbor who is like a brother to me…..just can't get better!
  3. Just some shots from the last two days. Cut some firewood today. Cut down a ton of small trees at the bottom of my property. This will become a pretty big green field. We experimented with a smaller area and attracted lots of deer. I will mow it all summer long. Weather has been great the last two days…..I love it here! That last picture is my view from the front porch. A while back we debated wind turbines and how they ruin the surrounding areas view. This is what I'm up against, the don't bother me one bit.
  4. Congrats….Go Redmen! OOPs I mean Red Storm……that was back in the day I was there!
  5. In third grade the curriculum looks at the cultures around the world. Have you gone to a parent teacher meeting lately?
  6. Good for her and the family. Glad she made the decision and is on her way to a nice school. Hearing a few stories just like this over this past weekend. Not an easy decision at all. You know I spent two years at St. John's and then went on to Plattsburgh State. No reason why she an't do the same if she is not totally happy there. Like I said Plattsburgh had so much better hunting and fishing available…lol.
  7. Nothing like being in the woods and see it all happen around you. I become part of my hunting scene for 10 hours or so for a day. Hopefully I get a big part somewhere along the way and kill a deer. I lifts the weight off your shoulders from everyday life and puts meat on the table. So many memories with family and friends are made…that's why I hunt.
  8. Very nice mount, congrats!
  9. Did I miss something or are all those picture gigantic and sideways?????? Didn't even bother to look. Yes Booner is 160…..
  10. I'm staying out of this one……lol. Tough decisions to make all around. I did 2 years at SJU and then went to Plattsburgh State. Hunting and fishing was great my last two years of school not so much the first half. lol Good luck to her and your family.

  12. I have the same coat it has to be almost 30 years old. Best coat for wear and keeping you warm, sorry I missed out on those pants!
  13. I went to St. John's, for the money it's over rated. My niece goes to cortland and really likes, she is on the soccer team. Check out Money Magazines new way of rating colleges. http://time.com/money/collection/moneys-best-colleges/ I know the people behind this and it's top notch! Good luck!! BTW that is a nice chunk of change SJU is giving her, i'm sure you are very proud!
  14. You break your butt through life and hopefully have something to show for it in the end. I have had my cabin for 8 years now and so many memories have been made up there, it is truly priceless. This is a picture of my brother with his grandson glassing deer in my back field. This picture is worth a thousand words and makes it all worth it!!!
  15. Rangers clinched the division now they are playing for the Presidents trophy! Should be a great game. My 11 year olds first hockey game, tickets courtesy of Sports Illustrated. As you know I no longer work for Time Inc. so it was a nice parting gift from some close friends!

  17. Bunnies and ducks are off limits tomorrow! Happy Easter.
  18. I have to post my picts if I can find them. 10 degrees a foot of snow in the Catskills just a shitty nylon tent and a great propane heater we called "Bertha" Hunt all day come back warm up around the fire in bed by 8 with Bertha blasting away. Everyone took their turn shutting it off and the only body part exposed was an area to breath from. The mornings ware hard….lol Never trade that time for anything!
