  1. Wooly been shed hunting in your area…………the man has no boundaries! lol
  2. We shot a couple of deer opening day. It got very cold for the rest of the season. Don't you know some of the guts froze into the ground. The crows were such a pain in the ass making noise all day long fighting over the frozen guts. It was a bothersome all day hearing those crows.
  3. Kudos to the lumberjack who set him free! http://kstp.com/news/stories/s3496350.shtml
  4. It's about time I shoot a bear on my property. Had a few chances with bow and missed. So for me if a bear comes along he is fair game, opening day or not. BTW someone posted you won't see deer if bear are around. I saw 7 bear one afternoon sit Mom and 3 cubs also three different males (or solo females). In between the sighting plenty of deer coming down the same trails. BTW one of the bears came into my mock scrape dowsed with Wildlife buck urine! lol
  5. Adult mentor must maintain physical control over the junior hunter at all times while hunting. This means the mentor and junior hunter must be close enough to talk without the aid of a radio and must be able to see each other. So I guess if your tree stand is close enough (within 20 or so yards so you can talk) As for the DMP- Junior Bowhunters may use DMPs during the special archery seasons and during the regular season. Hunters may transfer or receive up to 2 DMPs from other hunters (see Consignment of Deer Management Permits for instructions). You must be 14 years or older with a regular big game hunting license. Junior bowhunters who are 12 years or older with a junior bowhunting license may also apply. I didn't see anything that stated they can't transfer a DMP. I think you are ok on that. Enjoy the hunt. I did this for many years, seeing a kid wide eyed in the woods is great-seeing a kid get their first deer is wonderful. Something you will never forget. It was really great hanging two stands in one tree. I was able to guide the jr hunter through different situations.
  6. My basement flooded. I was out at 4:30 am on a ladder fixing a broken gutter. lol
  7. You need to educate yourself. http://money.cnn.com/2014/08/12/news/companies/robin-williams-charity/ Takes all types………..
  8. Blaze orange will help to save lives. I can't tell that to the guy who pulls the trigger but I feel a hell of a lot safer in the woods with it on. Where it, it won't hurt……….
  9. Thanks just reminded my kids!
  10. Cut up deer in the bath tub???? Remember Scare face the movie? I can see it now chainsaws and you saying"now the leg Tony" ! I like the traditional one.
  11. Video is great but they are just passing by. Not knocking it but you want that buck to have a licking branch and to tear up the scrape. I don't know what you are accomplishing here. You can have a dominate buck place a scrape 20 yards from there and you won't see boo. I think its great you getting out there but way too early.
  12. It's funny that when I go to buy a license at a retail store and say I'm a land owner they want to see my tax payment receipt but if I buy online no problem. This happened a couple of years ago at a store on L.I. the kid was right in asking for it but what the heck you just go online and get the permits. I just wonder if I gave someone else my ID numbers what would happen?????
  13. Over by us it's called no hunting area. We have some of them that cover a bit of territory. Grape vines and no hunting go well together! lol
  14. Just got mine online 8P and 1C. The only thing I had trouble with was editing my mailing address. I put the new address in but later on in the selection choices two of my old addresses came up as active. It only let me delete them at the end of the process when you double check your information. Off we go 2014 hunting season!
  15. My cabin shell was built be Amish. Couldn't beat the price, quality about the same as regular builder. They did a great job, I would go for it.
  16. It's shark week and they are playing the original Jaws……made in 1975 that's 39 years ago. I was 12 when It came out. Hit me like a ton of bricks this week……….
