The Expanded Antler Restrictions - Who is excited?
First-light replied to TheHunter's topic in Deer Hunting
Steve and Doe are always welcomed at my place, they can shoot what they want. Never put restrictions on people and never will. Don't see why the state has to do it. There are 11 guys from PA that come up here to hunt, put AR's in they are history. They pay for their tags and want meat. The icing on the cake is a nice buck. I got a gun club that preaches AR's, they hit all the neighboring properties preaching letting the small ones walk. During gun season we see small bucks hanging from their meat pole and there always is a bogus reason why it was shot. Don't see a need for it and never will doesn't help anyone except the trophy hunter. In my eyes every deer is a trophy. -

"And lastly to all of those who say simply go shoot a doe, well gee I would love to but there are zero permits for my area. I hope all of you boys in western NY are ready for steve863 and I, we are pulling up stakes and heading your way. " You can always go back to Burt's place, sure he won't mind! -
Great picts, you sure can grow them! Looking forward to the fall picts when the velvet is off!

Sorry I didn't read the disclaimer, let's cover all the bases and preach what you want to preach, doesn't work for me though.

Youth hut will be a trigger for license being bought. For me and my group we look forward to the August on sale date. Get a kid involved early they will be looking at that that date salivating.

Th That's real sweet Bubba, what do you give for Christmas presents, live grenades. Coming from an instructor, you should be banned.

After going through this thread I find the need to put my 2 cents in. We are on this website to talk about hunting. Putting out cams has now become part of our hunting arsenal. By doing this we see what goes on around our hunting property. This can be good and it could be bad. Some off us put a lot of time and effort into our property and don't need someone scaring off the game. If they are repeat offenders you should try to find out who they are and give them two options: stay off the land or deal with the authorities. This could of been a one time event, you just don't know. Maybe they needed a short-cut to get home and thought going down Eddie's trail would get them there. My neighbors daughter asked me a few years ago if it was OK to ride her horses through our property. I was totally fine with it January through September. I told her I appreciated her asking. They in return have told us we can ride the horses at any time, my both daughters ride. She shows up on my cams now and then, no big deal. Just asking goes a long way in my book. Eddie I hope the father and son don't show up on your camera any more. Just one more thing, Where my trails are visible or connect to a road I lay a big log across the trail. No big deal for me to step over but a bike or ATV would have a hard time, gets them thinking.

I hear ya, there was a lot of drama in the background....you know what I mean.

Just got back from vacation. Checked the cams and had a bunch of deer and a big bear. Most were does and small bucks. Here is the bear and one of the larger bucks.

Had a great time with the girls! Checked the cams and had many pictures. A lot of does and bucks, not too many fawns. Here is a nice buck and the large bear we have on the property. He is a big one for sure. We set up a blind in my field and caught a bunch of doe coming out around 8:30. Girls had a blast and are really into it. This may be the spot for the youth hunt this year if it all goes well.

My town seems pretty high. Grow I didn't even think of the radon problem. I will do the test this week and send it off for evaluation. It's a new basement I don't know if that has anything to do with it?

Did not, I'll do that this week. Thanks for the reminder.
