  1. What the doe say when she came out of the woods? I'll never do again that for two bucks! What's a deer with no eyes? No idea! What's a deer with no eyes and no dick? No fawking idea!
  2. Did you see that, Joe held his ground but at the end Sptizer got him say yes it could be a problem.
  3. This guy Joe in the video is amazing how he handled himself. Check out the video. http://www.cnn.com/video/#/video/bestoftv/2011/01/14/ps.zamdio.tucson.hero.cnn?hpt=T2
  4. I've been in a couple through the years. I won 1 contest years ago. I never though about it ethically just some added coin if you get the big one. The y also paid for biggest doe and smallest buck. Now the smallest buck thing could raise some eyebrows.
  5. Rich did my brothers mount at Fins to feathers. He blew the antler (at the base) right off this big 10 point and Rich fixed it up. Great job!
  6. try this ;D ;D 3 cups diced peeled turnips 1/4 cup water 1 cube chicken bouillon 1 tablespoon butter, or more as needed 2 tablespoons white sugar Directions Place the turnips into a skillet with the water and chicken bouillon cube over medium heat, and simmer until the water has evaporated and the turnips are tender, about 15 minutes. Stir in the butter, let melt, and sprinkle on the sugar. Gently cook and stir the turnips until the butter and sugar cook into a brown, sticky coating on the turnips, about 10 minutes. Serve hot. That is funny! Thanks for making me laugh, it's good medicine!
  7. Turnips in my food plot still untouched- they must be feeding on something good!!
  8. The first part of you sentence may be right but the second part is absurd.
  9. Some of us did go to the video site and post- some user names may be different. I disagree with you and don't need to go back and read it. I clearly know what I stand for as a hunter and would do this thread the same way all over again. I don't feel a bit "foolish."
  10. Turnips were never touched this year. I probably had the only food plot of turnips in N.Y. that didn't get munched on! My big field was full of clover and I know they really love that. Just talked to the farmer who leases from me my field will be in clover and alfalfa for the next two years.
  11. The property I used to hunt had the Fingerlakes white trail going through it. People used to hike it during the deer season. Some of them would veer off the trail to look at the view and such. This year my brother-in-law had enough and shut it down during season.
  12. Hey Pat, Why don't you start a new thread, we are getting off the subject. What makes you "snap" as a hunter, it's totally legit, go for it. That way whoever wants to debate with you can and we'll give this thread a rest. I think we know where we all stand. This has turned from a serious thread to a game........
  13. "your closed minded mentality" How about reading some of the other threads here? Close minded I don't think so, try the political, length of gun season, AR or blaze orange thread. Yea we all agree with each other and life is great. Oh Patty boy, remember to vote for me in the best deer success story contest!
  14. Who do you contact to spray the house. I heard about this, also treating the ground outside the building is a good idea. Seems like cluster flies live on the larva of earth worms.
  15. I asked about this on another thread, I have cluster flies. They get in the smallest cracks and the only way to get rid of them is to bomb them. Fast Eddie recommended using a flea bomb which I haven't tried yet. My problem is the dead flies all over the place when I open up the camp. They are not a problem when I am there. Mice, I use the poison blocks.
  16. Wow look at that lobster claw!
  17. I don't even think that deer was spine shot. There isn't any point in the video where you see any entry or exit holes. The back left leg looks broken. If you shoot a deer in the spine the back legs would not be moving. I also think these two idiots rehearsed the video. Look at when ramidick walks up to the deer he doesn't miss a beat when stepping on the deers back leg to keep him from moving. These two idiots did too good of a job to get it right the first time.
  18. Gunner looks good for 15, does he still go at it (hunt rabbits that is.)
  19. Here is Mac doing what he loves best "Hunting!" He is a 3 year old Wheaten Terrier who loves being in the woods!
  20. Really? over a video? i dont get why this argument is even still going on... If you agree with what you saw leave it at that, its really crazy to see guys like you result to personal stabs on others in here. And for what to stir the pot? do it else where... Geno, I agree personal stabs are not good and I am guilty of one in this thread. (I said those two jokers would be looking for road kill on rt 17 with the coyotes.) This is our identity as hunters and it's taking a hit in this video. I will do anything in my power to defend ethical hunting. When I see crap like that video it makes me boil and to have two people identify with it in such ways is an outrage. As this thread goes on it seems to me that these two guys don't belong here and really have nothing to do with hunting. Two guys looking to stir up anything they come upon.
