So I usually get a regular cut done at the processor. 4 roasts, loins butterflied, bunch of ground and the rest round steak. Most of the time when I take out round steak to cook I find one or two pieces that could pass for loin, it's that tender. I do get a lot of loin just thinking some of it makes it into the round steaks?

Bump the deer around on 2-4 man drives. Couple of years back I had two beautiful bucks together late January. They are out there! Also pick two a-joining properties gives you more room.

We have 1 in 8P that is making his home on my property. Beautiful black coat. I watched it walk 10 feet from a doe and fawn they could care less.I know all the critters have to eat and Fisher like turkeys. Our turkey population sucks he wont help being around! Thats mother nature though...

This storm just killed my trip to the cabin!

Some of my stands are named after the first person who hunted it. Then we have the double,Pee hut, brown box, Yellowstone, Ted's logging road stand (previous owner).

I have shot it when it was about 2.5 years old. It was fine but was also kept in a very dry place.

Got up at 4:30 am to be at the ice rink by 5:45. Back playing with the boys. All wore masks and we distanced from each other. There was a lot of passing and shooting but no checking! It felt good!!

My best friend calls me and says lets go to the cabin for 3-4 days. I was like you sure, yup ready to go. He asks if its still deer season and I tell him muzzleloader season. So I'll get to hunt a few more days eat and drink like a king. Gotta love friends! lol

I totally agree here. I turn 58 next year and have shot more than my fair share of deer. My goal was to put my 16 year old daughter on a buck this year. She killed one on opening day. We got our deer, plenty of meat for the freezer and was able to sit back in the woods the rest of the weekend and enjoy mother nature!
