  1. What a Bummer Geno... get some sleep and good luck tomorrow! It is a Bit*h to be on your end of these type of threads... but you have alot of friends praying.
  2. Atta' gal Growie... can't take it with ya! Let's hope it DOES get him some venison.
  3. Atta' boy Hoyt... front yard or deep woods - those tenderloins will taste delicious.
  4. Congratulations on harvesting an outstanding trophy (even though any deer killed with a bow is a trophy).
  5. Talked to a Cornell Policewoman about this project. She told me it was a Cluster F*. The rules/regulations are very tight and seeing a deer might be a problem in some areas. In some of the areas where a doe is required b4 harvesting a buck... you'll be lucky to see one. After investigating this, I've decided to forego applying.
  6. Just because someone invented a 'new' system, doesn't mean it's... well you know what I mean.
  7. Buckboy... set up your treestand about 50 yards downwind of that scrape if the photos show the buck(s) coming from that direction. Chances are they are coming from the other way about 50 yards to the side of that scrape and scent-checking it before actually going to it.
  8. Thanks Growie... this old guy learned a couple of things watchin' some of those videos. Glad you posted that link. BTW... best of luck this season.
  9. F-L... you will be graciously re-paid for that act of kindness.
  10. Damn dentist couldn't schedule me any sooner than Oct 1st for a consultation. 9am appt... so I asked if she could make it FAST as I had a date with a buck later that day.
  11. They don't make shows like they use to... sad in a way.

Mistletoe? They use to make change purses out of them in the old days...
  13. Well... I was all set to take a youngster hunting during this season - until yesterday! Darn kid went and broke his arm. He is so mad, and his whole archery season is off the books too. Poor guy!
  14. Well... That WILL keep 'em hot!
  15. Hello Boys... I've worn progressive lenses for years . They work great if you just point your nose at everything you look at. After that, lift or lower your head to find the 'sweet spot'. Good luck getting use to them, after awhile you'll be lost without 'em.
  16. Hope your knees are not too sore from crawling around on them... at our age(s) they get sore fast (and then there's just getting up off them that is torture!).
  17. Doey... I switched this year to Blazer vanes and had trouble with them adhering to the arrow - until I put on the 4" wrap beforehand. After that I had no problems what-so-ever. I also switched to SlickTrick RazorTrick broadheads. Twix the Blazers and the Tricks I'm shooting one pin now out to 30-32 yards. You can get Blazers in QuickFletch too... just make sure you get the ones made by NAP and not Bohning - HUGE difference in performance!
  18. Yup... ALPHA rut should be right after Oct 1st. Can't wait!
  19. Ya' like that new bow huh Sam? A G A I N... nice shot mister!
  20. THEY WON... and I've done some shootin' Don't get much better 'n dat!
