Awesome buck!! Congrats to you!! That's plenty of reason to tag out early.

sorry for misinterpreting your post. I don't allow anything to disturb my home or valued possessions as I work to hard for them. I stand on the same ground in regards to protecting these things to all legal extents unless something becomes life threatening. I grew up old school and have respect as a result. I cherish the things such as people showing respect around my mother, grandmother or wife. Enough about that though as this post was intended for information about coyotes and I don't want to step on the OP's thread. I'll gladly discuss family values in a different thread if you'd like.

that's why I enjoy hunting, nothing else gets ya as excited as that moment.

I'd say for every 20 pics of deer I have 1 pic of 2 coyotes running together. We easily have 9 fawns running around with does still. I don't know about the OP but figured I'd chime in with what I'm experiencing.

Why even bring it to that level, stop jumping off the deep end man. No one said they had intentions of going to your land to do anything. You go from attacking coyotes to attacking people, they're entitled to an opinion and she was agreeing with her concerns of the pack of coyotes and the population.

So I'm thinking of putting up some new posted signs this weekend, any thoughts?

Good looking out, thanks John! -
First year in a while I've been skunked. Great seeing all of the other wildlife though. I saw beaver and a hawk getting a squirrel. Now the research continues to find out where they went. I think it was a little too warm and rainy today for optimal movement.

Get a different thread and stop hijacking this one. -
6 turkeys, loads of chipmunk and squirrels but no deer. Ahh the impatience of opening morning.

Usually owls are a good sign. Good luck, little drizzle and warm by me today but love hearing the woods wake up

I plan to sit a few hours in the morning and the evening I'm playing by ear depending on how warm it is.

Honestly, I think it's the same buck in pics 1&2 with pic 3 being a different buck. The shape of the rack is very similar, g3 on the left turns in on both and g2-g3 are forked on the right side. Good amount of growth in one year IMO.

Looks like there may be a scar on his right side, any chance of right broadside pics to compare?

Antler restriction

I've used it a little too soon and I've had a mature doe stomp and wheeze at the smell. Nothing scares off the deer faster than an old crotchety pissed off doe.

We pulled. 5 of the 11 camera cards yesterday (forgot the keys for the other ones) with similar results as everyone else. We went from 200+ pics a card down to 60's. We did have one weird picture of 5 bucks all together by the pear trees though.

I had the exact feeling going into the ultrasound, while out of honest truth I was a bit bummed when I found out it was a girl. Today as I hold my 3 week old daughter, I couldn't be happier. I plan to take her hunting, fishing and teach her how to fend for herself. As I think back, these are all the exact same reasons why I fell in love with her mother. As it's in god's hands, whatever you have hope that it may be healthy and so much the same for mom. The rest kinda just falls in place. Good luck!! btw great names.

Seriously though, the sharper the point where the hoof comes together the younger the deer and more likely it's a doe. The bucks usually have a more round point to the hoof, from pawing/scraping the ground when they "mark their territory." When you are walking around find a major trail, one that is like a cow path, then start looking around for a smaller sub trail. The secondary trail is usually where the bucks run 10-20 yards off the main trail, that's where you'll find rubs. Good luck!

Well they taste a little different, you'll have to sample a few piles to find out. The does are a sweeter and the buck's droppings are bitter/sour. Let us know what you find.

Only wear camo out in public when I'm making a beer run to get my Busch 30 rack... Those people annoy me too.

Awesome pic, muzzy

While it has some to do with the water it also has to do with the bacteria in the air. For example pizza sucks in San Francisco but the sour dough and bread is better there because of the salt water/ bacteria in the air. I guess that's what's great about this world, you have to travel to really experience and enjoy everything. I think I'm gonna mention the pizza box to a couple of our small mom and pop places. It might just take their business to a new level.
