My whine for the day is morning coffee. I hate grabbing a coffee on the way to work and it's too damn hot to drink, by the time I get to the job I don't have time to drink it. I will never be the guy that walks around with a coffee cup in hand, pointing and bull shitting. When I finally do get a chance to drink some coffee it's ice cold.

Went for a walk today along the swamps and the hills, not as many tracks as I had hoped. I hope that it's not a sign of too many predators hunting them. I walked and kicked some bushes for about an hour with out kicking up a single rabbit. I did see quite a few fresh deer tracks though. Maybe a future stand location for next year. Hopefully I will get some more time in this weekend. Has anyone else been out yet?

I absolutely love ice fishing! Sitting in the shanty being able to bull shit with the guys for hours and watching the fish come up to the lure through the hole is such a great time. I just wish there was more ice around here, seems like it's mid January before we can even get on the ice. This year may be a tough one since my fishing partner's wife is expecting to deliver any day now. I'm taking up offers of people who want to fish the Cap Region this year.

Besides what Grow already mentioned... You'll have to prove that you have looked for a job, then say who you previously worked for. After that you can get a check after 2 weeks. The amount you get is a percentage of your income, unless you make more than the max amount. If you make more than the max, you will receive a check for the capped amount. You can either get the taxes taken out before the check or pay on the end of the year. Then every week you will either have to go online or call to say that you have tried to get a job. At least that's my experience with my employees. You may want to check into partial if your employer has some work for you. Good luck and hope you get back to work soon.

I was told $35 a pelt last year, never got around to hunting them though. Maybe this year. There is some great advice in this thread.

I can't remember the last time I didn't hunt thanksgiving morning. It's one of my favorite days of the season, almost like opening day excitement. Always a morning hunt with the enjoyment if family and good food in the afternoon.

Fresh snow this morning helped out, filled my DMP. Still have my Reg season buck tag but it better be something special for me to fill that. At least it gives me a reason/allows me to still go out and enjoy the rest of the season.

Saw a button at 730. Only shot all day was a buddy who shot a yote. I surely didn't dress warm enough today.

I couldn't agree more! Sitting in my stand Saturday and only hearing about 10 shots but a couple repetitive only increased my anger towards it. I only hope to fill a DMP and maybe get lucky. -
I got a nice 6 during archery 11-8 hanging with a doe. I grunted him right in. Opening morning of regular season was a ghost town, maybe 10 shots all day. I saw a doe with with 3 small doe (maybe triplets) Saturday around 4pm but that's it. Crazy windy and warm, hopefully that changes this week. All in 4B, haven't went to my spot in 4J yet.
