Your pockets must be deep! I built a 6' long by 2' deep outdoor prep table that stands 40" to the top and the raw material cost was $350. I couldn't imagine lining a whole room with cedar. If the money isn't a concern the cedar does look much nicer once sealed with all the purple/red/white grains. Unless the pine is old growth you won't get the same effect. The other thing with the pine is you can always put a light stain on it to make it less yellow. Hope I gave ya enough help to make it harder on a decision

Just made a batch of jerky today, like WNY said that's perfect and no need to bake for 10 min. Just keep it in a ziplock in the fridge and you'll be okay. It's not like you are sustaining a food source for months on end. I don't know of anyone whose jerky lasts more than a week anyway lol

I see a lot of comments on knives losing an edge, makes me wonder how you guys are washing your knives. If you are just wiping it down and throwing it in the dishwasher don't ever expect to keep an edge. It's no different than pressure washing, the high power water and sand like cascade or any other soap brand will destroy an edge after one cycle. After every use I wash mine in soap and water, dry it, hit it with a steel and back into the case with an edge guard. No sense in spending big money on good knives if they aren't properly cared for. My wife washed my boning knife in the dishwasher once, took damn near an hour on the tri-stone to get it back. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Went out Christmas Eve, worked a few gullies. After 3 hours finally got into some rabbits, kicked up 3, ended up with 1. Reaction is a bit slow this early in the season. Felt good to be out. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Wooly, I've been out 3 times so far with zero found. Makes me feel a little better knowing the goings tough so far.

I just don't get the celebrity hype. I mean seriously what significance do these people actually make in your life? You will probably never meet them, you watch their stupid shows religiously filling their pockets with money that you will never see. I suspect, just like any other show/ person that starts to fall off the ratings, they have a major news story so that everyone gets interested in it again. I suppose that's whats wrong with Americans. I don't want to be like these people who have managed to strike gold with the dumbest TV show, that's 90% made up to look dramatic. That's what TV producers get paid to do. Go read a book, then come back to the forum and talk about how dramatic, interesting or life changing that was for you. Plenty of people in our daily lives agree or disagree with our views and beliefs, but I haven't been on every freaking tabloid for telling people I feel X. God I hate celebrity hype/ gossip, just like a bunch of teenage girls are those who need to fill their daily lives with that crap. With that said, I am sure I've pissed of quite a few people but to each their own.

How do you you pick what you're going to go hunt? Rabbits or coons ?

I have a pitbull rescue, the dog thats in my Avi actually. Great dog, very loyal, and great with kids. I have had multiple friends and their pregnant spouses have my dog cuddled up to the pregnant belly. When the child is born he always lays down next to the baby. He is protective of the house, no one can sneak up without him getting a mohawk and a growl. Great dog in the woods, runs 100 yards, stops and waits for you to catch up and then continues on. I always wonder if I will ever have another dog as great as him.
