No permits required for Stewart.

Cuz it's true. Most eastern countries still practice rain and bad weather via their bones.

Yes, you are allowed to hunt small game during big game season in most places. Just don't bring any slugs or buckshot with you.

I used a few female feathers for a couple of arrows, I'll have to test how well the fly first before I have you make the trip. I really appreciate the offer and will get back to you once I get to shoot the newly fletched arrows.

Most likely this coming say, or sooner for me since I'm itching to go out again.

Martin, don't forget me! I want me some coyote too!

Hi big game. The bow is a Bear, maybe called the Cub. It's an 28# draw bow and was given to me by a late friend of mine. I can't see myself selling this bow, has too much sentimental value. Is it a good bow?
-
I am interested. Would you be able to find it and give mRNA name to research for draw length and power? Thank you very much!

It was mentioned that there may be some folks on here that may have a bow for sale or donate? I'm an aspiring archer, and do have a recurve that was given to me many years ago. It's not a legal hunting bow, so I'm looking for a compound to get me started in bow hunting. If anyone has a bow for sale, or knows anyone that may be wanting to get rid of their bow, please consider me! Thanks.

Believe it's east fishkill

If no takers on the feathers, I'd be happy to use them on my arrows.

It's actually spelled pyramydair. Those magnum springs can probably do a little better using heavier pellets such as the 18.1 grain JSBs. If you can hit starlings, squirrels will not be a problem at all. We do an airgun hunt almost every weekend. If you're in the area, you should join for a small game get together.

Unfortunately, I'm relatively new as well, and had to learn on my own for the most part. I've been lucky to connect with several other hunters from here and have learned a few things along the way.

Have you tried Muscoot or Angel Fly yet?

LI allowed shotguns for hinting small game and waterfowl. There's also a special shotgun season in LI for deer in January. LI is very shotgun friendly. Good luck to you.

Not from there but I find myself hunting there often.

Probably a lot more on eBay.

Getting it mounted or for the table? Just curious, are pheasant feathers suitable for making fletchings?
-
Hi guys. Was wondering if any of you bird hunters have some extra feathers left over from your harvest? Was looking into making some fletchings out of them. Please let me know, I'm an aspiring archer. Thanks.

Issue less permits so farmers can open their land to hunters. That would be a good compromise.

Couldn't agree more.

Seeing that this is your first year hunting, ever consider going after small game while you wait for deer gun special on LI?

We already have a group of lower NYC hunters. Perhaps a LI hunter group would be interesting. Do keep us updated on how you guys do.

Steve, just from hearing the old salts speak of restricted access now compared to when they were kids. Not necessarily speaking about private land that is now closed, but rather land that was once forest, and now developed.
