  1. Guess you were able to salvage the arrow. Suppose the broadhead is a goner. Something I'll need to consider when I go out with the bow.
  2. Bubba, are you close to 7H?
  3. NJ is implementing that right now. Talk about time travel.
  4. I believe it covers very little public land in Cayuga, but 7H is shotgun only.
  5. Predate, appreciate the concern, and probably smart to cover yourself in regards to liability(who doesn't these days in the good ol' USA). I haven't taken an electric microscope to it yet to determine hairline fractures, but I did visually examine it and cut away as much as I felt it was safe. I'll be extra cautious when I fire this bad boy or the first time. I've seen photos of how bad things can get when carbon explodes. Trust me when I say I don't want to be another statistic there. Appreciate the feedback anyhow.
  6. So this is my first US made arrow. From another thread, some people seem to prefer to buy American over overseas. I'm proud to say that this USA made arrow belongs to me. However, I didn't purchase it. I repaired it. My buddy accidentally shot this arrow into a rock, and broke off the front inch and cracked an additional inch. Being new to the sport and anticipating breaking arrows myself, I wanted to see if I could repair it. All I'm missing is a nock and some glue for the insert. So does anyone have any broken arrows they'd want to donate for me to fix? Anything over 25" of fixable shaft and parts is welcome.

Very patriotic of you to spend your hard earned cash in the US market. I hope one day I can do the same. But for now, I go where the deals are.
  8. Damore, sorry to hear of your losses. With that kind of damage, was your area a Zone A?
  9. Looking for a 7F, have a couple 3's available.
  10. I'd say practice and consistency. I shoot instinctive on recurve, so it's all about muscle memory and "feel".
  11. Heard that Tompkins wasn't hit too bad. Cortland is right nearby, so I would hope that it's similar. Wish you luck.
  12. Mac, any deer that is to be taken or harvested must have a tag. Your local DEC or in this case, the sherif can issue you a tag to properly possess the deer. If you just hit and took it, you would be in violation of a crime.
  13. Nothing wrong with hanging that deer if he so wishes to. Only the hind quarter was damaged. As for the truck repair, looks to me only a new grill is needed. In my opinion, he's very lucky to sustain so little damage, and manage to kill the deer and take it home. Again, don't see any shame in that. more of these pictures should be shared.
  14. It's been posted, but thanks.
  15. No shame if the deer was harvested and put to good use. It's the ones left on the side of the roads that is a shame.
  16. I understand 7H is shotgun only. I have a buddy that lives there, and have also called the DEC in that area, little to no public land. If you go further North into Cayuga county, you are allowed to use rifles, but no public land. In 7F, there is some public land I heard.
  17. I had to get out of my car twice to politely tell the vehicle ahead that they were cutting the gas line. They either played dumb, or really was. Either way, I had my weapons with me, just in case shit got real. Cops did little to stop the cutting, they were more concerned about people filling more than $45 worth of gas.
  18. Thanks for your service. You sound like a good cop.
  19. Got my 2 today. Would I be able to get more tomorrow?
  20. It sure feels good to know NYPD is out there protecting these merchants.
  21. Be wary of those posed as officials and power company workers. If you have a weapon, Now is the time to keep it handy.
