If you were legally allowed to hunt the Big P, then you should have the DEP police's number handy to report the incident. They don't take this stuff lightly on their property. It's your responsibility as a hunter to report anything you feel is in violation and potentially rob you of your rights to hunt there in the future.
I agree, the fireworks to manage the birds sounds much different.
Heard of the barking squirrels by hitting the tree myself, but since I use airguns, barking won't work.
I also have a squirrel call, but I'm not sure if it's working for me, or against me.
Yes, the Marauder is made in the US. There's an entire forum dedicated to this gun, and rightfully so. Crosman has done real good on this PCP, and has introduced many to hunter quality airguns through the Marauder.
Why don't you move out to where those big bucks are then? Meat hunters will always be around, so if they start killing all the does, what do you think will happen to the deer population in 5 years? Think there will be any bucks left for your sorry trophy ass to shoot? Think about that for a second.
Maybe if I wanted to shoot at 500 ft and not bother with asking for permission to recover, since chances are at 150 ft, the deer would not have made it that far. It's not always about how close you shoot, but how far the recovery is as well.
Most guys that hunt small game also hunts deer. So if we was to target a good sized gathering, we should accommodate those that plan on deer hunting opening day for bow as well.
