  1. I see their logic but I would still go with my .45 or a shotgun. My intention would be to stop an intruder, not to necessarily kill him. To stop someone you would want to deliver as much shock as possible. The bigger rounds will do that far better and faster than a .22. Think of an intruder getting shot in the thigh with 2 or 3 .22 rounds then imagine him getting hit in the same spot with just 1 45 slug or just 1 shotgun blast. Game over.
  2. They damn well better make that cake!! and it better be cream filled…or else!!!!!!! Damn cowaphobes... beastialityaphobes…..!!!!! just pisses me off.
  3. For me it has to be taking my first deer, while hunting with the old timer who taught me how to hunt. He was in his 50's then and I was around 17. He was more psyched than I was…Then 20 years later I was with him when his grand son took his first deer. He had that same look in his eye…It was really something.. R.I.P
  4. Just because 4 million enrolled (3 million short of the protected number expected to sign up by March 1st) does not mean that all of these people are covered or will not pay a very high rate. All you hear is how many people "signed up" not how many are covered.
  5. LOL!! Wish I knew how to make one of those…Only bigger
  6. YUP! I have replaced the seat twice, over the years and the sides of the plastic base have mice/squirrel gnaw marks all around it LOL!!
  7. Seems too high priced and unproved to catch on anytime soon. Maybe someday down the road
  8. But someone else is paying for your lower rate. I hope Your deductible and medical care won't be much worse.
  9. Nothing is free. ….I friend of mine tried to sign up for Obama care. The cheapest plan….$900.00 per month. Nothing is free.
  10. Hip waiters. Ditch them on the other side and put them back on when you leave. I use to do that at a spot I hunted years ago.. Not too much fun in real cold weather but it works.
  11. Old lock-on. I don't use it much anymore, but its secure and comfortable.
  12. I can't figure out how some arrogant Brit douc#$ nozzle , who constantly bashed this country, didn't become a smash hit….Odd……...
  13. Don't think that you have to only go used. You can get a good, new set up for around 4-500. Bear, Diamond and others offer bows set up and ready to go for around that price range.
  14. I have to say Kittery in Maine. Huge new and used gun selection.
  15. I remember watching that show. Its the first time I ever even heard of deer being able to "jump the string" ……Man Im getting old...
  16. Sounds like its the same all over. The Gander near me NEVER has enough people working and their ammo is always over priced. I think that they know that they are the only game in town (at least for now) and really don't care if customers wait or have to pay higher prices. Eventually it will bite them in the a$$.
  17. What it comes down to is that most experienced bow hunters knows that a 75-100 yard bow shot, on a live target, is a disaster waiting to happen. Practice all you want but the longer the shot (past real world bow ranges) the bigger the margin of error is.
  18. Funny how they sneak in how the event "glorifies guns". Its kind of like saying "deep sea fishing glorifies the use of hooks". Then the dumb a$$es go on to preach about how kids should/shouldn't be taught. ….Oh the enlightened ones….
  19. LOL…He really is an arrogant moron. He's too smart to realize that rifles have evolved. The musket was the so called "assault rifle" of its time. That woman's response was "Spot on ..old boy"

    Laker orgy on Keuka

Im jealous!! Congrats..Years back we use to hammer the trout in that little creek at the end of the lake in Hammondsport. I never fished the lake.
  21. At 75 yards I say aim just behind the shoulder. Works every time. With a gun not bow. For a bow at 75 + yards I aim just below the eye………. LOL!
  22. I bought one in .223 just before the king and his minions back doored in the SAFE act. I love mine. Its fun and cheap to shoot. I have had zero problems with it. I put a vented forend and pistol grip stock on it. But after the safe act, I had to put the old stock back on it, and in 30 seconds I had a nice safe rifle that isn't scary and is way less dangerous,,,LOL Congrats….. Im sure you'll like it
  23. He's jus such an insulting A-Hole. But he knows how to get votes, and thats all he's about. Unfortunately his approval ratings are high because he panders mostly to the "GIVE ME" crowd, to get them to vote for his despicable a$$, while he pisses on the honest hard working people of NY. Sad.
