  1. Couple of dumb ass's!!! I would have backed the hell out of there and came back a little later.
  2. Anyone have one of these??? I was checking one out today and it seemed sweet. Wood stock blued steel. Any reviews???
  3. One of my old boss's had a big gut and a belly button like that. Plus he always wore skin tight shirts. Every time he would walk by, someone would say "Turkey's done" LOL... It never got old
  4. You will be fine with the old bow. I break out my old Hoyte now and then. Its slower than snot, compared to the bow I use now but it killed deer then and it will kill deer now. Just get some practice in with the Parker and don't worry about it. Good luck.
  5. I've seen it too. Dumb ass's amaze me.....
  6. Camo or black and red wool plaid coat with a camo blaze orange vest over it and usually camo or green wool pants. Depends on the weather, but always the orange vest. Too many wing nuts out there. Don't think that wing nuts can't find their way onto private land.
  7. I wouldn't turn him in but I would definitely call B.S. on him. He might just see it as a friendly father & son competition, but thats not what it is at all. He is just being selfish. Choose your words wisely and let him know what YOU want to happen, but don't let it get to the point where it scars your relationship. In the end its not worth it. I remember my brother in law and father in law getting in a screaming match over a hunting spot. ( It was totally my FIL's fault). It got to the point where I had to separate them. That was about 15 yrs. ago and they have hardly spoken to each other since then. It's not worth letting it get to the point that you regret it. Good luck.
  8. I think it should be pretty good. I saw a good 8 yesterday. I actually messed up on him and passed on a shot I should have taken. He was on a doe's scent. He wasn't hot and heavy but would put his nose to the ground every few feet. He was on a mission. The mock scrape I made is getting hit too. I have a feeling it's going to get good with in the next few days
  9. Checked the the 7mm-08 and the shot gun (12ga) last Thursday. The 7-08 shot an awesome 3 shot group at 100yds. The shot gun, rifled barrel with Lightfields , had to come up about 2" at 75 yards. Left right was dead nuts.... Im good...
  10. LOL!!!!! My brother in law ( at age 52) still wears the cut off jean shorts, so short that the white front pockets hang out of the front. I keep telling him that "it's over" but he won't give up. In the summer we all call him "Daisy Duke" but he doesn't get it....... He's a thin guy but it's still a real ugly sight.....REAL UGLY..... Chuck Taylor's rule..
  11. I screwed up on a decent 8 this morning. He had short tines but a wide rack. He was walking down a run, from my right to my left. At one point I had a good 30yd. broad side shot, but I was sure he would stay on the run and give me a 15-20 yd. shot so I held off....He didn't stay on the run (of course). he kind of wandered off away from me and disappeared. He was the first real buck I've seen so far too. At least it got the blood pumping.
  12. I saw a doe acting a little funny on Thursday. seemed nervous kept looking behind her but nothing ever showed. One scrape by my stand is getting some good activity. I think the next week should be good.
  13. I saw the same thing, about 20 years ago at hunting camp..after about 15 Pabst Blue Ribbons.
  14. Same here. In the past I have had good luck on Halloween and Thanksgiving so I'll be out. Later on Im going as the guy drinking beer on the porch, handing out candy. Might wear a sombrero.
  15. im hooked on the Rage 2 blades...real big holes...
  16. I have been using a WB for the past few years. It works very well. Its accurate, quiet and secures the arrow well.....Why switch?

so i need some help. ive been hunting for a while now but every time i get out of the woods i smell of an odd fecal odor. any ides what this could be? i ts really bothering me and my wife is threatening to leave me
  18. I had a 7600 carbine in 30-06. Great deer gun. I sold it to a friend, about 20 years ago. He has killed a ton of bucks with it since then and I haven't stopped kicking myself in the a$$ for selling it to him, since then..
  19. I only use scents when I think the rut is full on. Then I put them out just before I climb up. Once Im up I don't climb down until I'm ready to pack it up or I shoot one...Except for yesterday when by bow fell out of the holder & I had to climb down to get it...climb back up....Soooo freaking pissed It was all I could do to keep from MF-ing out loud. Nothing broke so.........STILL PISSED!!!

    Small 8

I hear ya. I watched a little doe for a good 10mins yesterday. I didn't see another deer all day but watching her was Very cool. It never gets old.
  21. For me its not hard to find someone who wants venison. I give away meat almost every year. Last year me and my hunting buddies gave away 2 deer to people who really needed it. Its a good feeling. I just don't get the whole wasting thing either.
  22. Varmints and deer are 2 different things. But if any animal becomes such a nuisance that it has to be put down.. so be it. I just think that people who BRAG about killing and wasting nuisance animals are losers... An 85 year old woman or a 6 year old child could kill a nuisance animal, why brag??? Just one guys opinion.
  23. No..I get it. If squirrels were ruining my siding I would try to trap them and relocate them. If that failed I guess I would break out the .22 but I certainty wouldn't brag about killing them ,like I was some big bad a$$. You miss my point. Some times animals can become such a nuisance that they have to be put down. But thats not hunting. Im talking about Losers who kill animals, just so they can brag about what they killed or how many they have killed. Im talking about low life losers.. not hunters. Don't get me wrong.
  24. Im not for killing anything, just to kill it. unless it is an aggressive or rabid animal, or an animal that somehow poses a threat to you or your family, I don't see killing it just to kill it. If a squirrel is going for you jugular ....blast him...If its just sitting in your back yard eating a chestnut?????? WTF??? Its you call
