over the years I have had good luck with doe in heat scents, during the rut. The first buck I ever took, with a bow, came right in to a scent canister of Tink's. Since then I have taken a few other bucks with Tink's, or a similar scent and I have had good luck getting bucks, that for one reason or another I didn't shoot, to come into it. It wont work most of the time, but if there is a buck all hopped up, and alone he will come to it. The next few weeks I'll use Doe in heat or doe estrus. I just use 1 or 2 scent canisters in front of my stand. I don't put out a ton of it. This is what works for me in my area.

I have run into a few of these holier than thou pricks in the past and unfortunately, at least for me, there is no talking to them. But if you do talk to him just tell him that you are 100% legal and mention that it is illegal for him to harass you and that if he continues, which he probably will, you have legal options. Leave it at that and walk away. Don't mention the salt lick. Leave that ace up your sleeve. If he continues, report the salt lick to the DEC. They will investigate that, Cant stand pricks like him..... Good luck

Exactly..The first deer I took with one was two years ago. I hit high in the shoulder and he kicked around for a while before giving up the ghost. I thought that maybe my old fixed blade chisel tips would have done a better job but after seeing what the Rage did this year, on a properly hit deer, Im sold. I still can't believe the holes it made. Hit em in the ribs.

Power down some cheerios. 0630- load truck and drive 5 minutes to spot. 0710- in stand and ready to go 0735- big doe and button come out from behind me. Let them walk. 0800-4 does come down trail in front of me. Let them walk. 0810-same 4 does come out from behind me. Let them walk 0830- decent 6 point comes down trail looking for the does..twack..gut...load..drive home. 0930- Wife brings me to breakfast. 1300-cracked the first Bud light Get your a$$ up here!!

No I wear a snorkle with it so my breath goes straight up and doesn't fog the mask. After years of snorkeling, and scuba diving, I'm very use to it. My friends think Im nuts but it works.

I wasn't crazy about Rage when I first used them but I took a deer with one a couple weeks ago, and MAN!!! It made huge holes in him. only went about 30 or so yards.

I have an 835. I use an extra full choke for turkey and a plain modified choke for water fowl (steel). It works great. Modified is a good all around choke, and should work well for pheasents too. Just DON'T SHOOT STEEL THROUGH THAT EXTRA FULL CHOKE

Dont know either...Water fowl and turkey is a half hour before but not deer??? Im sure its a safety thing.
