The scent thing can drive you crazy. I think controlling your scent, during bow season is important but I don't go as crazy as I use to. Controlling the body funk is #1 IMHO. #2 Keeping clothes clean #3 scent killer sprays. I would have included wind, but in the local area I hunt the wind shifts a lot, I don't know why. Maybe because of the nearby lake.

Yup …break them up and get them to scatter. They will be eager to regroup. They will be calling from several directions, trying to find each other and you will have a good chance of calling one or more in. Good Luck

I hunt with a guy who is a bunch of those characters rolled into one. He brings enough food, on morning hunts, to feed 5 people, he rubs dirt broken pine twigs, apples etc… all over himself he falls asleep on a regular basis and while we walk to our stands I have to constantly tell him to shut the hell up!!

Remington Core-lokt .270 misfires anyone ?

I have never had a misfire with Remington Core-Lokt, but I have heard of it being an issue. My Remington 700 no longer likes Core-Lokt. Still can't figure it out. Only thing I can think of is that they changed something in their recipe. -
Be safe Shoot what you want on your tags, but be prepared to have your b@11$ busted to no end, if you shoot a small one. FLUSH THE DAMN CRAPPER AS MANY TIMES AS IT TAKES !!! ...NO LEAVINGS

Been using the 7-08 for several years now and I love this round. Perfect for deer. But I think I might resurrect the old Remmy 700, 30-06 this year. Its been benched for a while and I just want to give it some play time again.

Still have my Techniques Linear tracking turn table. (state of the art in 1983) I should have an answer any minute now… LOL! BTW add Def Leopard, AC-DC, Van Halen (not Van Hagar) Journey, Boston, Aerosmith and for some reason one Rod Stewart album, that my sister must have slipped into the stack back in the day. -

I live near a Gander Mtn. and they always seem to have plenty of 7-08, in all different brands. Thats really the only place I get ammo because its only 5 minutes from my house.
