I think you're totally caught up in the looks of AR's. There are mag restrictions for deer hunting in NY. I think its 5 max. An AR with a 5 round mag and a bi pod Vs. a Remington 750 semi auto with a 5 round mag and a bi pod…. Whats the issue other than looks ?

I think its jus that AR's have a following, just like any other type of rifle. Im a bolt action fan, but I have shot AR style rifles and they are, very smooth , very accurate rifles. I can definitely see why guys like to hunt with them. And, believe it or not, you can get AR mags that hold less than 30 rounds ….LOL!!

1.5-4.5x32 on my shotgun and a 2-7x32 on my muzzle loader. I have never taken a shot over 80-100 yards with either gun but I have never had a problem, quickly picking up targets either.

The wife and I like left overs, we try to eat all of them but my kids won't touch them and sometimes I have to toss them. I can't stand throwing out food. I always think " how many people would have loved to eat this"

The street shoot out from the movie "Heat" great. The final scene of "Unforgiven" was great……….. There are so many great ones...Its hard for me to pick a #1. Open Range was a top contender but Kevin Cosner's thirty five shot six shooter annoyed me a little. LOL!

One of the classic lever action cals just because I don't have one anymore. Probably 30-30 but a 35 Rem or 32 Win. special would fit the bill too. -

A couple of nights ago I drove by one of the fields and saw about a dozen deer feeding. One was bedded and didn't look right. Its head was hanging kind of low. Just went by this morning and the crows are feeding on it. Sucks.

Mossberg 835 loaded with Winchester Double X 3 1/2" #5. Although I picked up some of those Long beard loads last year, but never patterned them in my gun. I might this year.

Im seeing grass too but unfortunately Im also starting to see all of the trash and other litter that has been hidden under the snow, on the side of the roads and in some areas on front lawns… WTH?
