By the time the turkey thinks "whats that black thing" it should be too late.. Back in the day I killed several birds with my old uncamoed 870.

Look into the Mossberg 835 (pump action) and the 935 (semi). The 835 runs around 550 and the 935 is around 650 or so. Both great turkey rigs…. 22 - 24" , back bored ported barrels with a few different camo choices. Both take up to a 3 1/2" shell. I have been using an 835 since the early 90's and love it. It has dumped a pile of Toms. Awesome patterns with 3 1/2" #4 0r #5. But then again everyone has their favorites.

By " good test takers" I mean people who can study the subject matter of a given field, then ace a test on what they have studied, earn a degree in it, and then some how automatically be considered an expert in the entire field. I think we all know people like that. I know several. Would you automatically let someone tell you how to raise your kid just because that person holds a Masters Degree in child psychology? Eggheads can be a benefit to us dumb asses but a lot of times it don't mean shnit in the real world…...

I think that growalot was talking about the Al Gore type hypocrites who talk down their noses to people, about their "carbon footprint" while they do little or nothing to reduce theirs, or rationalize their excessive "carbon footprint". Problem is that the pro global warming, save the planet people get their facts from like minded sources while the anti global warming, save the planet people seem to do the same.

Losing battle my friends…..The wife had been saying (B'ing) about how she wanted to change out the fixtures, in a small down stairs bathroom, to brushed aluminum ??.. I thought I would surprise her last week and get it done before she got home from work. I bought all the fixtures and new outlet covers and had it done just as she was getting home from work. she loved it but she couldn't resist going on and on about the mess I made getting it done ( because of the tools and old parts laying around). You're welcome honey!! LOL!!!

I think the 22LR would be fine for what you want to do, but if you go with a 17 consider ammo availability. In my area 17 HMR is far easier to find then 17 Mach 2 or 17 WSM.

Nice pics. I was just looking out my front window thinking "I have to clear the driveway AGAINE??" so yes they helped.

I got my 110 around 1978-79. It was a gift from my sister. I have retired it a few times but I keep going back to it. I just like using that knife. I have used it on almost every deer I have ever taken, not to mention friends deer. . Now I want to retire it for good but Im sure I'll change my mind again next season….

I guess you're right. But I just didn't expect them to polish it so much. Had I known I would have preferred just a light cleaning. They put a beautiful edge on it. Very sharp.

I I sent my old Buck 110 folder to Buck to have them sharpen it. I just got it back and before I unwrapped it, I noticed that the work order said "Sharpen and clean". The word clean made me wonder. They cleaned it so good that they took most of the scratches and mars out of the metal and wood in the handle. My knife is about 35 years old and I thought all the weathering and scratches gave it character. Now the thing looks almost new. In the pic of the two 110's the one on the left is brand new, on the right is my old one. ( the new ones can't hold a candle to the old ones BTW) Oh well I guess I have to start over...

Glad you're OK kid…..And you are 100% correct. If you get sleepy pull over!!! You will never shake off that sleepiness. It doesn't just go away and all of the sudden you're all bright eyed and alert...

This time of year, I have seen snow owls at the local airport. I don't know why they like that spot so much, but they are the coolest looking birds I have ever seen. Pure white. If they were sitting in a snow covered tree you would never see them.

Anyone know if the Browning Invector chokes are interchangeable with the invector plus chokes?
