I think that the recent SAFE Act has proven that self serving Anti gun politicians will use any back door, end around means they can to severely restrict firearms ownership. I find it hard to believe that the same Anti's wouldn't do the same to take firearms from citizens. You can load your 10 round mags all the way up if you're involved in a shooting competition but if you have that same firearm in your own home, to protect your self and your family with, you can only load 7 rounds into it. No way that will ever fly.

Easy!!! I Have a Bushnell Banner on my slug gun. It has been there since 1993 when I was kind of on a budget. Now that I can afford to put a more expensive scope on it, I just can't justify it. The thing shoots so good that I'm afraid to try anything new. Bad Mojo!! LOL!!!!!!

Technically you're suppose to transfer it through an FFL. That means You pay an FFL fee and go through the background check & paper work BS. In some cases where the two parties know each other well enough, I assume that they just give the gun (long gun anyway) to the other person and avoid the Little King Cuomo ..SAFE ACT bull . But that is just an assumption on my part.

Any factory loads, that you can think of, that kill as good. I took a few deer with 100grn core-lokts and was not that impressed. All good shots but they seemed to run quite a ways before crashing. A friend told me to try some kind of Nosler factory load (can't remember the name) but I never did.

See if a regular sized rifle fits him. A 14 year old can out grow a youth gun in a matter of months. My son seemed to grow a foot over night. M Either way the Axis is a good rifle. The Axis II is out now and has an adjustable trigger. I would opt for the 7mm-08 over the 243. Its a much harder hitting round without much more recoil than the 243.

That was very cool!! I was just a kid but I remember a lot of those ads….A friend and I got screwed on the "2 switch blades for $1.98" ad. LOL!!! They weren't even switchblades and were the cheapest flimsiest things ever. I remember my dad laughing at us after we opened the package on my front porch. Chop it into really small pieces. Then soak it in a mixture of 1 tsp. tenderizer , 1/4 cup vinegar and 2 cups water per pound. Let soak for about 1-2 hours ( way less if using less tough cuts of meat ..more like 20 mins ) drain and rinse. let the meat dry (or pat with a paper towel) then fry it up with , pre boiled, diced potatoes and season to taste. You can add onion, peppers, bacon, sausage… what ever..I make it like hash and have it with eggs & toast.

I hear ya…..Besides my rock, I got a beautiful ' Case' made in the U.S.A. pocket knife ( that I will never use, because I already have like 7000 knives but for some reason people keep giving me knives even though I let it be known that Im good with knives, like 15 years ago, but they keep coming anyway to the point that Im actually running out of room to put knives and am thinking about selling some of them but I really don't want to and now Im rambling on because of all the knives I have)……………………Sorry. Im into made into the US made knives too.

Yup…If you can find a colt revolver at a decent price grab it. I have two and I am always looking for more. Finding one is one thing. Finding one at a good price is another. As much as I like classic S&W revolvers……Colt wins every time.

I switched to the 7mm-08 a few years back. So far I have taken deer from 50 to a little over 200 yards with it and it has performed great. Light recoil, hits hard and very accurate. I have only used Remington 140 gr. factory loads.
