  1. I thought I saw the rifles only at the local Gander Mtn, but I could be wrong.
  2. Luckily my daughter is home from college so I dragged here out with me this morning. She picked out, what she says are, clothes, shoes and a few other things that my wife will love….We'll see. For all I know, my daughter is messing with me and picked out a bunch of ,hideous, old lady things.. Fingers crossed.
  3. Yeah the acu-trigger makes the Axis II a much more impressive rifle than the standard Axis. I don't know much about the Weaver scope, but I'll take your word that it is junk. Too bad he didn't just get the rifle, without the scope. Im sure its at least 100 bucks cheaper. He could have put the money towards a better scope and hardware.
  4. I've been thinking, since my first post. A little while back I picked up a King Cobra, in beautiful condition, for 650. On line revolvers like that were going for 1000+ and the Python is a much more desirable gun. I bet your friends Colt could bring 1500 +
  5. If the gun is as nice as you say then its in the 1000-1200 range all day long. Even more to the right person. Colt revolvers are at a premium.
  6. A little crowd control is required……... I admit.
  7. Exactly…You have to trim up or your bush will will show right through your yoga pants…LOL!!
  8. Congrats!!! It makes me want to get into rabbit hunting again. I haven't gone in years..
  9. As far as you know…..LOL!! Never understood why some guys assume they do so much better than others….Must be the all the facials, brow plucking, mani pedis, man scaping and skin moisturizers that add those extra zeros..LOL!! Whatever….
  10. I think that hands down, the" advantage " goes to tree stands. Movement and especially scent are much more hidden from deer. I have killed a lot of bucks from the ground, but given the choice I will take tree stands every time……. Just me.
  11. My wife mentioned back in Nov. that her work shoes were getting worn………What the hell????? Im seriously considering getting up at 4 A.M. On X- mas morning and staging a fake burglary at my house just to get out of this. Then again I would still have to tell the wife exactly what her allegedly "stolen" gift was soooo??????!!? Are there still Hickory Farm stores around?? She likes cheese..I think...
  12. I know…….Im just at a loss….
  13. Im in the same boat but I can't get out to shop until x mas eve morning. Im thinking jewelry???? Last time I picked out clothes for her turned out to be a real disaster. I really wish she hunted or fished. Jewelry? Im totally stumped. ….Would cash be too impersonal???
  14. That thing is a bute!! I love old school, gloss wood and blued steel rifles…………….Im sure Im not alone…... Good luck.
  15. If the boxes don't say "Steel" or "None toxic" then they are lead.

    Zero

Same here. No deer but I saw a lot, passed on a few and blew some opportunities on others. Had a lot of laughs with my friends and as a group we didn't do too bad. Im in the mood to re set and clear stands already LOL!
  17. I had it all planned out. I got her the North Face ski jacked she has been hinting about. But my wife's B-day was the 17th. (Wed). I was totally out of ideas so I gave her the coat for her B-day and now Im stumped for a x mas gift for her. Im sure I'll be running around all x mas eve day cursing to myself.
  18. Im sure it all came down to money, power and favors. Especially if Little King Andy was involved in it….
  19. If you care a bit about your LEO friends, you will get over your self and drop this right now. "ASSUME" you have half a brain and just stop...
  20. Does your supposed fiancé know what an immature skiz you are?? LOL!! Just kidding…you're 16 right??
  21. This is what a lot of people don't realize. " It will never happen to me" a gun has saved my ass too. More than once.
  22. You sound like you have have had some training in Judo, Karate or some other form of hand to hand self defense method. Thats great. My father in law was a boxer back in the 50's and a tough SOB when I first met him. He is 83 now. He needs a gun if he stands a chance against a younger assailant. My wife is 5 feet tall, stretched, and weighs maybe 100lbs. she is a wuss. she needs a gun to defend herself against a bigger assailant. Different strokes for different folks.
  23. Got it..So law abiding citizens should be able to own firearms in order to protect themselves from criminals….Right?
  24. This is certainly true for some people but not all. Given the choice I would much rather pull my gun rather than risk doing a mind meld or trying to incapacitate an assailant with a T.V. tray or a clock radio. When it comes to the life of my family Im going for the best option. And Im no wimp.
