My Lab is usually pretty good. He's six. I call him "idiot" but he's really pretty smart. When I walked in the house tonight I wondered why he seemed skittish and wouldn't look at me. I knew he did something so I stared looking around and sure enough,,,I found an empty cookie box, under the dinning room table. Almost like it was stashed there so I wouldn't find it. As Im typing this he just peeked around the corner at me and backed out when I looked at him.. He's a Jerk!! LOL!!

I've been looking for a camo pattern to make my wife invisible for years. ……..Still looking.

If you do it will be about how some how global warming is causing bitter cold….LOL!!

"Hang a Funny One" I saw that written on a mens room wall once, right above the urinal.

Driving home last night, the thermometer in my truck read -14. Right now its 3. Kids have a 2hr school delay. FREAKING COLD!!!

LOL!! I don't know if you're kidding or not, but I actually do Febreeze myself after a cigar!! it helps…..

I don't smoke in the house either, thats why I don't really smoke them at all this time of year. The shop, where I buy my cigars, allows smoking and once in a great while (in the winter) I stop in and have a smoke but its not very relaxing. I have to put up with the degenerate KENO players and their constant no name cigarette smoke.

Send it back…..

The local GM has the same thing but the rifles on display are all set up with sights and other accessories. Your paying for the whole "package". The rifles alone are about a grand.

A pair of plain cotton socks worn as an outer layer, over your wool socks, will pull the sweat away from your feet and help a lot in keeping your feet warm.

I usually wear 1000 gram boots. They work well on most days. I stared out with 400 gram but had to move up. On real cold days, I have a pair if 1600 gram Itsaca. My feet rarely get cold. The right sock combo plays a big part too. Seems the older I get the higher the thinsolate number goes on my boots. If they don't come out with 10,000 gram boots in the next 5 years or so, …Im screwed .

I don't think that the Gander people actually teach the class. I know that the Gander near me, rents out the room to people who teach handgun safety classes and other related courses.

I love the 7.62x54R for deer. With the right bullet, it far outshines the 30-30 Win. 35 Rem. 32 Win. Special, 300 Savage and in some cases even the .308 Win. Best part is that you can pick up a 100 year old Mosin for about 150 bucks, drop it into a $65 after market stock, add a decent $150 scope and have a way better hunting rig than any old Winchester, Marlin or Savage lever gun.

A few years back I bought I few Cubans (Cigars that is) from a shop I frequent. The tobacco was bought from Cuba, and then stored in the U.S., before the embargo. They were rolled into cigars here. They were outstanding. Best I ever had. I have heard that Cuban tobacco isn't what it use to be. I hope thats not true.

I love good cigars. I don't smoke them much in the winter time but spring summer and fall I have 3 or 4 a week. I love to relax outside , on the porch or by the pool, with a good cigar. I think that most none cigar people just don't get the whole flavor thing…..White Owl, Partagas, Dutch Masters, Cohiba, William Penn, Punch, Back Woods smokes and Ashton are all pretty much the same….Right?? LOL!!

I also shoot an 835, and do the same thing. 20, 30 and 40yds. My gun likes Winchester Double X #4 & #5 shot. I shoot the full 2 1/4 oz. loads. Patterning this gun is not fun…..

Not only Texas….

I bought a face cord of seasoned mixed hard wood for the fireplace in Oct. I paid $60.00. That was the cheapest I found. Some guys wanted $75 to $80 and some guys won't even deal with you unless you're buying at least 2 full cords.

Wont this make kids want to shoot at each other with compound bows and broad head tipped arrows??????

As I recall, the original advertising for the mini 30 was that it was designed as a deer rifle. With ballistics close to the 30-30 Win. I think it would do a fine job out to 200yds or so. I think that most people hear "7.62x39" and think AK-47 firing FMJ's. But there are good hunting rounds out there in that Cal.

Mostly windy and real cold here. Not too much snow. Not too far north of me, they have been getting hammered with snow. They're calling for 2 or 3 feet up there tonight.

2 years should be fine. After 2 unproductive seasons, all I have is 2 year old venison I separate the packs and put them in paper grocery bags. Reduces freezer burn. Made some chili 2 nights ago with some of the burger. Good stuff.

I hear ya…… Sad to say but if I had to guess, I would say that this one was a running shot too.
-
Too bad. ….It might survive though. I once pushed a big doe across a lot to a friend. That deer ran like all hell. My buddy shot it and when we got up to it we were both amazed to see that it only had 3 legs. Its right front leg was gone, below the knee. The "stump "was completely healed over. I guess it was shot the year before. Still sad though.

Im Thinking Jim Shockey too.
