Fear and especially suspicion are not necessarily bad things. They are built into us for a reason.

If you decide to take a deer (on your tags) then take it. Nothing to apologize for or feel bad about. There are snobs out there who like to dictate how everyone should hunt but …screw them. they are just that …….snobs. I have been fortunate enough( and old enough) to have taken some good deer over the years. But I like meat in the freezer too. If it gets down to crunch time, which it is, I will drop a good doe or small buck, any day of the week. Congrats on your deer..

Remington quality control has gone way down in the last couple years… I think that one company now owns Remington, Marlin ,Para and a few other firearms manufacturers.

I have an old Knight inline. I use CCI 209's and Pyrodex pellets. I don't start to widen my pattern much, to speak of, until the 4th or 5th shot. Even then its still way in the kill zone.

I have shot them at all hours of the day. But I have to say that the majority of the time, mornings have been the kindest to me. Nothing like being done before breakfast ……LOL!!!

That is amazing… When I was 30 my friend ( who is the same age as me) shot a black bear that the DEC said was 28 years old. I thought it was amazing to take an animal that was born just a couple years after us and had romped around the woods from the time we were toddlers to the time we were all married and had kids. But this story is just wild. 185 years ?? Nuts..

My wife, her two sisters, and their mom go every year. They were over tonight, for thanksgiving and were all giddy and excited about going tomorrow. My two teen age daughters are going too. They leave at 0600hrs won't be back until well ....well after dark. Gaggle of nut jobs if you ask me…...

I saw that. He sure looks like he's sniffing around for some type of endorsement, unless he already has one with the products displayed. I couldn't tell if the products were all made by the same company. What ever blows his skirt up I guess……...

If for some reason I had to go shopping on black friday, I would intentionally run my truck into a ditch on the way there, and happily spend time in the E.R. rather than the mall…..But thats just me.

Actually 2 of my buddies did the same thing about 10 years ago on a big 10 point. One friend shot it, then the buck ran to the other who dropped it in its tracks. The guy who shot first came running up to us , as we were standing over the deer. He was hyperventilating and saying "I got him! I got him!" (he had never got such a nice buck.) The guy who dropped the deer had, at that time, some nice deer on the wall already and decided to flip over it. He lost and graciously gave up the buck. I can still hear his brother yelling "Bull $hit!! your nuts Bill!!! Bull $hit.!!! he was so pissed but it was funny.

Yeah I bet that the rioting will take a nose dive between 9A.M.and 5P.M. on week days…..LOL!!!

Apparently the Police Dept. is trying to reach an agreement with the cop. As far as resignation. Which would seem to mean that they have nothing to fire him on and therefore nothing to indite him on. Hold on to your hats….The true racists will make their presence known in short order. Last week we all met at a buddy's house to have the tender loins from the 3 deer we got opening week end. (We not me) Saute'd in butter and garlic. Cracked black pepper and a little sea salt. Had it with fresh green beans and twice baked potatoes that I brought over , just so I wouldn't feel so guilty about not contributing to the meat pile……….. Good stuff….After words we finished of the last of the Pabs't Blue Ribbon beer that we had down at hunting camp…I swear that stuff actually tastes good from October to the Middle of December. Damnedest thing……..
