ahhhh, was just trying to change the subject...the other one was starting to bore me.
-
I bought an Under Armour shirt last week, AND I'm wearing Under Armour sneakers at this very moment!
-
the one I got was a workhorse, it was actually originally my Great Grandfathers and has seen a lot of use......far from a safe queen.
-
a few years back I took my Grandfather's old Parker double that I was given and killed a deer with it using an old slug with a paper hull.....pretty cool to say the least.
-
my guess is early 60's on the Western and later 60's for the Peters.........or they could very well be about the same age.
-
thanks...and whatever you do make sure you keep them out of the reach of children.

I'm thinking that box is just faded, could be wrong.......looked to me like the original yellow was still preserved under the price sticker.........maybe turkeyfeathers can post a photo of the front of the box because now I'm curious.

Screw-in Steps

not too sure I'd advocate the "tree hugging " method.....if the bottom decides to kick out on you, you may be taking a ride down the tree and leaving half your face on the tree on the way down. There's been more then one occasion where I almost lost the bottom section when it slipped off my feet, if I didn't have the bottom tied off to the top climber portion, I may have had a problem.- 25 replies

this is why they need to put that "don't try this at home" disclaimer on certain videos, because people are stupid enough to think what they see is meant for everyone to do.......I once saw a video of a guy light himself on fire and they didn't put that disclaimer on the video first, so that afternoon I set myself on fire because I thought everyone should do that....stupid me.

Which state forest do you think has the least hunting pressure in the state
jjb4900 replied to LJC's topic in General Hunting
funny how people complain about the decline in hunter populations, but at the same time don't want to see another hunter when they're out hunting..... -
http://cartridgecollectors.org/?page=Peters-Cartridge-Box-Dates http://www.rtgammo.com/cf_box20.html I'm gonna say the SuperX may be the oldest...could very well be wrong, but that's what I'm thinking.

Screw-in Steps

I haven't read all the responses, but I always set mine using my knee as reference, don't skimp and try to get space between them.....and always run them up past the stand, you want to step down onto it. I personally feel safer going up a tree with a climber so very rarely if ever use them anymore.......climber or climbing sticks for me these days..- 25 replies

good deal, the fact that you would take your own time to get the license and help out with no guarantees of getting permission says a lot.....aren't many people who would do that. Best of luck to you this season.

I looked at it for what it was, impressed? not really, if he could make that same shot every time then that would be a different story, but we'll probably never know. The fact that not only would he risk a shot like that at an animal, but literally risk his own life running on that rocky slope with a nocked arrow really has me scratching my head.....but then I think back to some of the pioneers of bowhunting, and if you ever watched some of the early footage of the shots and distances involved you would be shocked as well.

I hear he's a real pain in the ass........

Wife's co-worker fell out of a tree yesterday setting up a stand

sometimes the things in life worth living for are more important then the things worth dying for.... -
for some odd reason, I almost find it more believable then saying "I thought he was a deer".

all of it.

I almost couldn't read what I thought might follow that opening line.......

you can pick up a cheap section of 3' vent pipe to give it some draft while testing....... -
the craziest thing about that is someone drinking Koolaid.........I haven't seen anyone drink that in about 30 years.
-
usually the DMP's are attached to the whole sleeve of tags and not sent in separate envelopes.....
-
would be even better if you used a round out of the oldest box of ammo......nice gun and good luck.
