  1. yes, getting old does literally stink.......I was in an elderly couples house the other day and it can best be described as a cross between mothballs and urine.
  2. I splurged this year...Remington Core-Lokt in 150 grain for my .308..........hope it was worth the extra cash.
  3. I'll do a lot of my own work.....but it all depends on what else I've got going on, I would rather pay the couple hundred in labor this time of year and spend the day doing something else...like hunting.
  4. make sure the deer doesn't get hung up on something on the way out...........all you'll have left is the head.
  5. shocks, struts and control arms last week..........$1050.00.
  6. I'll tell you what....I would rather a bear shrink then grow, that's gotta be one helluva job getting something like that out of the woods.
  7. I have something just like that.....I call them "hands"...but seriously, those would be nice to have had on some of the ice cold deer I've skinned.
  8. I've been at it for a long time......still have that stuff happen to me. I told my wife, after a weekend of close calls and a miss, that I had a great time with lots of excitement, but the best part was that at the end of the hunt, me and the deer both got to go home, so it was a win win all around..........

    yep...same guy who's the Dentist........
  10. and a good thing to remember is that nobody gets sick for only one day......usually takes at least 2-3 to get better.
  11. if you want thump your Bible and suck on your crossbow like it's some kind of phallic symbol, that's fine....but why do you feel the need to denigrate the conventional archer in all of your posts? if you don't like it, that's fine, but why be disrespectful to the others if it serves no purpose?
  12. I just point it at a pile of dirt and pray to god nothing bad happens....so far, so good.......do you really feel the need to take a dig at conventional archers in every one of your nonsensical posts?
  13. optimum...one of the few advantages of life on Long Island.
  14. yeah, never crossed my mind until now......if you keep shooting the same bolt into the ground, it could potentially lead to a bad oucome.
  15. or have a lady friend call his wife and tell her she's been banging her husband....and then hang up.
  16. had a similar thing happen to me....still haunts me till this day, it sucks.
  17. hey, the Tyvek is upside down...don't think it's meant to work like that.
  18. that decocking bolt can be easily made by putting a large washer behind a field point...that's what I'm gonna do!!
  19. I would think so, can't be very safe.
  20. Transportation of FirearmsA person may not transport or possess a shotgun, rifle or crossbow in or on a motor vehicle unless the firearm is unloaded in both chamber and magazine or the crossbow is unloaded or taken down. A loaded firearm may be carried or possessed in a motorboat while legally hunting migratory game birds. A muzzleloader is considered unloaded when the cap is off the nipple, the primer is removed, the primer powder is removed from the flintlock pan, or the battery is not in an electric-fired muzzleloader. A crossbow is considered unloaded when it is uncocked. A crossbow is considered taken down when the limbs have been removed from the stock, securely fastened in a case, or locked in a trunk. you are correct!!!
  21. I was thinking of putting a judo point on one and shooting into the grass.....might work, might not.
  22. yeah, they sell tiny ones for that purpose....
  23. no, found a rock with mine....
