  2. Funny, check out - xtranormal.com/watch/8122723/ " The great caliber debate" & others.
  3. I agree, thats a hell of a buck! But thats the trouble with A R s it makes deer look like freaks!! lol.
  4. My brother was in nam 13 months. He came home safe. I was in N. G. 1969 - 1974. Per his advice. Jmo. but I think all our military people deserve our respect past & present. Our freedoms are not free.
  5. I have used the hind sight about 4 years now & love it . I wear bi-focals & it works well, either my sight pin are blurred or the target but with the hind sight once every thing is set correct it all seems to work for me, not sure why. Also it glows nice in low light.
  6. According to the outfitter all shots are under 75 yds. over bait. I know I can shoot that, I took 2 bucks this year 1 ranged at 112 yds. the other at 92 yds.
  7. sbuff, what ml do you shoot? I have the huntsman 50 cal., had it a few years & love it .
  8. I shoot either a 50 cal. knight or a 50 cal. Nef. huntsman. I always shoot 2 triple 7 pellets/ 240gr. t.c. bullets when hunting deer. My ques. is would this be enough for a blk. bear hunt? Also does anyone know what the max. powder load is on these guns? Thanks
  9. I looked at the web site & contacted them & they sent me a sizing pack of the bullets, they look like a power belt without the plastic at the bottom it is all copper. I have not had a chance to check & size them out yet.
  10. Let us know how you make out, I was thinking of doing the same thing with my Knight also. Do they have pellet form or just loose powder?
  11. I agree with NyAntler, also it makes great soups & stews. I made beef barley soup with canned deer instead of beef, it was great!
  12. I am planning on useing my Browning 30-06 for blk. bear. I am thinking on useing 165 or 180 gr. Any thoughts or suggestions ? Thanks
  13. I am a hunter, born in 1949 that's it. Boy that sounds old!
  14. A few more thoughts, I fish lake erie & ontario. I only hunt for deer & spring turkey and it cost me $98.00 to get what I need. I feel we should only pay for what we hunt for. I am at the age that I am to old for a life time license to justifie the cost now & when I was young they did not have them. Again Jmo.
  15. I am one of the 12 & my thoughts are we as hunters keep saying we must get the youth into hunting but the license fees keep going up, the prices of guns, ammo., camo, boots, etc. all go up. What blue collar worker can afford to get his kids into the sport today? Then we have gas prices going up and now days its tough to go & buy hunting property by ones self or you need a hunting lease which are nuts too! Jmo.
  16. try it in crock pot with a cup of wine or do the bouillion thing both are good. good luck!
  17. Opinions wanted . What would be the better choice, a 270 win. or a 30-06 spring. cal. for a Quebec blk. bear & what bullet weight should be used ? Thanks
  18. Doing a blk. bear hunt & fishing in Quebec in June. First time for bear, any good tips?
  19. I knew a guy that worked drilling oil & gas wells for 35 years & said they capped every 3rd well they dug for a reserve. Thats alot of wells in his 35 years in this U.S.!
  20. You want to see honest check out "Advice for muslims" from Austrailian Prime Minister Julia Gillard. goole it to see.
  21. I agree Fast Eddie & speaks the truth! He's got my vote! You tube this Allen West, has lots to say!

I shoot a Martin Bengal, had it a few years & love it , just had new string & cables put on this past season. It works for me!
  23. I feel we pay enough as it is & we all know our monies do not come back to us as they should. (ask the snowmobilers). I say let the non- residents pay more to hunt & fish here. I paid $485 to hunt deer in Illionis this pass year, I could not get over that it was more than NY. No one is ever more than NY, gas, taxes, etc.!!
  24. I am with big daddy, I could supply the sporting goods store, all though I could use a tripod stand!
