Bubba,I agree with what you are saying .But I am wondering how many guys would shoot the buck of a life time if they saw it at 5:18 pm knowing it was going to be light for another 40 min. some are saying they would not shoot if it was 1 minuite before sun rise. I personally am normally out to my truck by sun set time, I am not one for stumbleing around in the dark trying to find a deer. I think it s**ks.

We need to get our youth into this sport, they are the future of it. Our numbers are dwindleing fast. I would much rather take a kid hunting & fishing instead of them sitting around playing video games & watching T.V. Some kids can handle it & some not but we should be able to figure this out by the time they take their hunting courses & hold the ones that are not ready yet back until they get it. I do not belive some of the 6-7 yr.olds we see on some of the tv hunting shows are ready & should not be in the woods! That to me is stupid!

I find this interesting about A.M. shots but lets flip it around. How many guys are out of their stands at legal time in the P.M.?? Say the sun sets at 5:15 & the sun is still bright & you know you will have good light for the next 40 minutes. My local warden says you must be out of the woods/field at sun set time. I am willing te bet most are still in the stand!

DTG, a guy I hunted with in Nunda ny shot 2 white squirrels in 2 days in the same woods. He said there where others in the area.

More crap! new bullet bill was introduced S-4152 would require a person buying bullets to first register the firearm in order to buy the ammo! Time to let your Reps. know your feelings about this! Another bill (good) is S-2486 which would extend the coyote hunting season into May. -

Bill Mansell is the guy who did my 30yr. old mount & it still looks great. Heard he is retired & won't do any. Really too bad, does great work.

446, go to u tube & type in deer butchering there are a couple real good videos that show the tools needed & how to do it. It's not to hard just time consuming if done right but well worth it to do it your self. Cut all the fat & silver skin off for good taste.

I say quality, I have one 30 yrs. old that looks better than one I had done this yr. trying to save a few $$. The old taxidermist retired.

Nice wall of buck mounts! Looks like you had a few good years. lol I know guys who have hunted more than 10 yrs. & have not gotten a buck yet, I think I would take up fishing if I were them..

I saw a fox squirrel while deer hunting Ill. last fall . It was all redish color but the last 2" of its tail was pure white & I could spot that thing a mile away running through the trees.

When my father brother & I would go spring turkey hunting my brother & I would come out at noon & tell of or show off our turkey stories. My 70 yr. old father would empty his game bag full of leeks & say he had a great am. smileing from ear to ear. another successful hunt ! Once he had a sparrow cupped in his hand petting it on its head. lol. I miss that old man.

I can't tell you how many times I got hit in the back of my head for holding a girls hand between classes in the hall by my princibles school ring, dam that hurt! We couldn't wear blue jeans to school either.this was in the late 60's! Now they wear pj's & flip flops. I say we need to get the old ways back.

Sbuff & Bubba, question do you guys feel that this Mu pulg is nessary to shoot with the Bh 209 loose powder ? And also is there a problem getting 100% ignition with the 209 bh powder? I ordered some 50/460 no excuses bullets & they claim better accuracy with loose powder. Seems I have read of the problem of bad igintion on other sites. I want to get things set up for a bear hunt. Have you guys ever looked at "frontier muzzleloading" web site they have some good info. there. thanks
