I take all mine down, 5 ladder & 3 hang ons, do any maint. if needed & puy away ready to grab & go next season.

I had the same thing happen to me as Paulie did 8-9 yrs ago but the guy (teenager) was only 60 yds . away. We had a doe run between us and luckly neither of us shot at it . I had B/O on but he was in full camo and brushed in. I would have shot towards him if I took a shot and never would have seen him. I didn 't see him until he was leaving ,I chewed him a new a hole. I know a person does not have to wear B/O but in my opinion your foolish if you don't in gun season.

I ended up with 3 this yr. a 10pt & 2 nice size doe,but not as big as dave6x6 congrats she looks large.

I agree with SteveB with the 2 seasons, all bows in bow & all guns in gun. I hunt with shot gun the first day or two , then the rest of the season with ML. althought this year I used the 30/06 rifle a bit more .

Wny, check out the MDM. muzzleloader I just read some good reviews on them. Btw a great pic. with your daughter, frame it for her for the future./ scrap book.

I have a blind like the one you linked, if you plan to use it for bow hunting you should check to see if you can come to full draw inside first. I could not unless I put the arrow out of the opening first by 6 -8" or sat corner to corner & then just made it . jm$.02

I shot a buck & doe the first day in wyoming co. with rifle both dropped dead in their tracks, I enjoy useing the rifle. Can't wait for blk. powder to open.

Thanks for the info. I do the safety thing & keep my guns pointed in a safe direction , it just seems weird to have to do this. I have a friend who has the same rifle & thinks it is a bad set up also.

I have a browing A-bolt rifle, 30/06. My question is in order to operate the bolt I have to take the safety off to load & unload the rifle, is this normal on browing rifles or am I missing something ? I don't have to do this on my other rifles. This seems very unsafe to me. Any info.on this, thanks.

I did a Quebec late spring bear hunt over baited stands 2 out of 4 guys got bear 1 guy saw 2 but had no shots & I, myself did not see a bear. I found it boring, I have friends who have done a Maine hunt with dogs & say it's a lot of fun just see & hearing the dogs work. the other plus is you don't have to screw around with the firearm regs. taking them into canada. j m 2 cents.

I do not do the apple thing I just used it as an example for debate. I also do not use trail cams (cheat) or hunt over food plots(bait) ! Try the old fasion way you might enjoy the sport of it more ! Again have a nice day.

WNY, I am not lazy, as I stated I do not use attract. scents of any kind! I do not use any baits of any kind . I do my scouting I set a few stands for bow season & my favorite way to hunt is to still hunt & stalking! I am 62 yrs.old have hunted 48yrs & have taken 130 plus deer 5 of which are in the 140'S & still drag most of them myself which is also the way I prefer to hunt. I'll give you a little tip "Its what you learn after you know it all that counts!" Have a nice day!!

Tried to drag a 180 -200 # out of swamp opening day. I went 15yds. thought screw this noise! Let the young guys drag to the edge of the swamp hooked my atv to it & went the other 3/4 miles with ease!! If I can't get with atv it don,t get shot. I could do the swamp drag at 26 but no more at 62! sucks to get old, but better than the alturative, still on the green side!

I was in my stand & could see a guy walking in from the road towards me . He walked into the woods about 50 yds. away to a fallen tree, dropped his one piece blaze orange suit took a crap, did the paper work, pulled up his suit, turned & waved to me & walked back out of the woods to his car. lmao!

I agree with Mossy, if I hunt by a apple tree & put more apples under the apple tree is that illegal ? Makes no sense. For the record I don't bait or use attractive scents, cover scents only.

I had 2 that looked pretty much the same 1 was a Mossburg with a poly choke & the other was a J. C. Higgins from sears with modified choke. both were 16 ga.
