First Day / Few Days for the Bow Season - What are you going to do?
deerpassion replied to burmjohn's topic in Bow Hunting
First good doe gets it... Then I'm going to "try" to not shoot another doe till the last week of October or early November , have 2 dmp's and looking to donate the meat this year so it may be a game time decision .... -
Pretty simple , a 4th grader could do it . Handle bars fit into the chest cavity n the seat goes up in the cavity by the hind end... Fits on the bike like a glove .... Once you get the bike upright with the deer on it , no biggy to push n balance .... Beats taking two n three trips when ur game cart is with ya already , did it lots a times ...
-
Used to do in some of the public land spots in Florida that were vast pieces of property (60,000 acres) used to ride the levee's and swamp buggy trails ... When we killed one , u gut it , put the cavity over the handle bars and seat so it's " riding" the bike per say... Get a little basket for the rack to rest in up front and a book rack for the rear end so it doesn't ride the back tire .. Put stand on ur back and push the deer out on the bike no sweat ... Did it with hogs too ! No round trips , no dragging !

Used two orange and a white for a while with a red lighted nock, personally two green with one white n a green nocturnal nock was the easiest for me to track in flight through the deer, and find post shot ....

Sorry rage fanatics ... Rage is crap , only a matter of time till u hit bone n realize the truth
-
I'd be happy with that guy.
-
I agree with u on that end , but none the less they film high quality hunts...
-
Well then, u should check out midwestwhitetail.com , semi-live weekly hunting , and even have some guys in NY, They spend little if no time at all plugging products n if they do they show it in a more practical/educational sense instead of shoving it down ur throat like most .... Bowhunting.com is ok at best , same semi-live weekly webisodes but not to the caliber of MMW ...
-
I'll check it out , but number one hands down is midwestwhitetail.com !!! Followed by bowhunting.com
-
The first pass all I felt was the wind swoosh by my head , couple minutes later I get smacked on the side a the face , still had my headlamp on gettin situated , turned it off n no more dive bomb...

Doe found inside of 1000 pound alligator
deerpassion replied to BigGuyNY's topic in General Chit Chat
There was a gator that taped out at 14'6" in Big Cypress Swamp" a local WMA in south Florida where I used to hunt that swallowed a doe , all caught on camera from an FWC (Florida wildlife commission) helicopter that was doing a routine survey of the area.. Def possible! -
Im pretty sure a deer did this but im not sure...
deerpassion replied to Vince1's topic in Deer Hunting
Sorry to say but that doesn't look like a rub . Looks like the tree just shed it's bark which is not uncommon ... Of course I'm not up n close ... -
Out here now in the Alabama swamps n there are a few here n there that have a good bit of color ...

Just scouted out a nice spot yesterday ... Tons of oaks with acorns on the ground already , looked up n saw at least three or four fat ones fleeing the scene... I'm ready! -

deerpassion replied to SteveNY's topic in Trail Camera Pictures
I'd fling one at em ... -
That's what I was thinkin ... Just gotta get over to Home Depot one a these days ... Funny , I was actually draggin out a doe last year( well wheeling her out on the cart) and a power truck saw me n stopped to check it out, shooten the s$&@ a bit, n helped me toss her in the bed too ! Was lucky last year I guess
-
Deer goes in the bed of the truck... Personally I could give two shakes what kinda looks I may be getting on the way home ... Doe's obviously u can't see , but a nice buck I prop up the rack in the corner, seen numerous other hunters pull up on the way asking me to roll down the window to share their excitement ... Although I need to put a sheet of plywood in the bed to slide them up, last years buck had such a big body I couldn't get em on the tailgait by my self for the life of me, and I'm 6'2" 230 lol... Had two guys passing by that stopped to look at him help me...
-
Over here in 8G I've got a few doe's with twins
-
Thing I can't get over is the dam rachet strap clickin and clickin ... Unless u have the muddy with the rope anchor strap ...

Anyone own one? Shame they went out of business , who knows what they would have come up with to improve the design with today's technology and materials... I see a few old ones floaten around the net , there last model (telescoping packable 20lbs) would be sweet if they still made em ... Anyone know if any company out there makes something similar?
