Weve had to refuse people just because of past incidents and poor choices. We also know that mistakes do happen and contest or not bad shots can be made. A little competition isnt a bad thing but i do agree that some contests bring out the worst in some hunters.

If i may ask...what behavior would that be? Honestly im curious

How did they know you were hunting? Maybe they thought you were tracking just like them.

Our contest wont tolerate bad hunter behavior. Apparently im in the best contest going. Heck a guy with a basket 8 is in the lead now...and guys have passed up bigger bucks...no bad hunters here!

Didnt go out. Going to stick to my plan of waiting til the weekend.

Thats the plan for muzzleloader. Ill be out this weekend with the shotgun trying to help my buddy fill a tag. But late season i plan on focusing on trails from bedding to food.

My father and myself both have remington 870's. We call em BrushBuster, and BrushBuster 2. For very good reasons. I dont think those guns have missed a deer in the brush more than 3 times over ten plus years. In the wide open now thats a different story lol. Thick brush is always a no no, and obviously we dont want to take shots into minimal brush, but it happens and weve got alot of venison to prove it.

Hoping this deal goes thru. Bow with soft case, release, sight, rest stab etc...for some archery stuff i dont use anymore. Kinda a win win for everyone involved if it goes thru!

My area of 8f was pretty quiet this weekend. Heard maybe 5 shots. Went out this morning and heard one. Tracks show the deer are there, as do fresh rubs, but havent seen a deer since i shot my doe last monday. Giving it a rest til the weekend. Got meat i need to grind and that wonderful 4 letter word...WORK

I hunt every chance i get. Took a great 9 point with my bow and a nice doe monday of last week. Told myself that now im horn hunting lol. I never horn hunt but figure if ive already got two nice deer, a big boy would be a great end to the season. Think thats what had me getting burned out. Missed a giant during bow season and my buddy missed him again 2nd to last day of bow. Then he saw him again the last day. So hes still there but i fear hes gone nocturnal. Still catch his tracks and hes rubbing again in the same area. Ill let em win this week...

Parents use to live in newark...1/2 mile from the highschool right in town. Deer would literally run thru the yard and eat behind the pool lol they are some weird creatures. One year there was a few hit right in town...

I burned myself out :/ decided to take the rest of the week off and not hunt until saturday. I got in the woods bright and early this morning and something was off. I knew it. My head wasnt clearly in the hunt and i knew i had burned myself out. Still going after my trifecta but this week the deer win!
