  1. Outside of a few hot spots that I leave stands at all year round I still have a ton to do. I went out today cleared out a few trails with the saw hung another camera at a new path I found with a bunch of dog prints. Patterns have yet to change with the weather. When it gets colder and everything starts to die off it's a whole new ball game. Almost that time of year.
  2. I check mine twice a month unless im super busy nd its real hot. closer to season I check them more often. Post some pics when you do end up pulling it
  3. Grow, you got hard horns up there already?
  4. Lot of chasing going on. Smaller bucks going crazy. I got a 12 on camera he is just starting to move around a bit more i'm thinking its the rut action kicking off.
  5. Get in the woods. Got some bucks on camera. Lot of night pics but he looked like he was chasing that doe. Get up in the stand spray some buck bomb and hope for the best you know there are bucks near by. Good luck !!
  6. Very nice. Talk about a family photo lol. Congrats
  7. Ya got a dead deer with in 100 yards of last blood I would say. Do a grid search !!! Good luck
  8. HuntOrBeHunted.. Hunting is like a equal to ambition for me. The thought of never settling and always striving for better. Always hunting for a better Job, House, Truck, life in general. Be humbled and happy with everything I have earned but always hunt for more. Or be hunted... The lazy guy or the person looking for a hand out. The prey in life. Idk just my 2 cents. And today is Friday. Call me Anthony lol !!!
  9. I was wondering when I was going to see this buck appear on this site, What a monster. 23 points. Shot from the ground. Impressive !!
  10. Rage. They are a great broad heads knock on wood never lost a deer or had one run more than maybe 110 yards max. They shoot like field tips and you can find them all over. not to mention the blades are super easy to change. Can't go wrong!!
  11. A lot of times with shoulder shots the arrow breaks and a small part of it will stay in the deer. Did you follow the shot threw? Take the time till the morning to re think the shot and the movement of the deer right after. Not finding not even a drop of blood is weird even with a poor/shoulder shot. Are you sure you hit the deer? Do a smaller grid search and try to find the arrow if you cant find blood. The arrow will tell a lot. Good luck get right on it early the coyotes don't waste anytime.
  12. Good luck to you as well FL. And everyone alike !!! Lets see some success post from the first day.
  13. I live next to a mid-size apartment complex and it was full of cops last night as they had got word of a clown standing next to a dumpster. I could see the action from my window. My mom lives close by as well so I kept my eyes peeled.
  14. I love hunting to much and have waited since the last day of last year lol. I wouldn't miss it for next to nothing !!! Good luck to everyone heading out !!
  15. 30-30 easy. Gotta be in the top 5 of historic hunting guns. They have tons on knockdown power !! Great guns
  16. Nice 6's that's for sure.
  17. 50 pound pull is fine for a Rage 2 blade. There is a diamond razor edge that gets used at camp with a 50 pound pull and it works like a charm. Rage leaves massive wounds pulling a little lighter would be all the more reason to use the most devastating broad head possible!!
  18. Rage extreme 2 blade. You will love them. They have never failed me. They come with a practice tip and that's cool but they also shoot like field points
  19. Niceeee. Now that it's getting nice and cool I can't wait to take the boat out for some fishing
  20. No bow? What a long wait for the action. Got my tags and hit the spot I want so it was a win, win.
  21. How did the throw and grow plot work out? This is my first year trying it I found a spot that I wanted to do something quick at and figured that was my best bet.
  22. Start with the basics. Look for the piles of poo and tracks in the mud/dirt. I wouldn't worry about rubs yet. Find were their food sources are. There has to be a transition point from bedding to were they eat. If you have a trail camera that's a good place to put it. In the hardwoods look to see is there's any Oak trees as they produce acorns and they are a hot spot for early hunting. Good luck check it out always a ton to learn on a new piece of hunting land.
