Yeah....., but you shoulda seen the other guy, lol! There are isolated incidences of just about every animal attacking humans and their furry friends somewhere out there. You can't base a general overview of a critters behavior solely on an over dramatized FB post that is most likely lacking in some of the finer details that may have provoked or initiated the attack in the first place. Precautions should always be taken around ANY wild animal, but too many guys just go over the top and let their fear and imaginations get in the way of logical thinking when it comes to some species.

That really is kinda freaky to see! I'm surprised he didn't spin that mouse around and go straight for the nuts!
-
Follow it back to its den and plant the explosives tonight under the cover of darkness! Just a matter of time before it starts snatching up the grand kids like fresh fallen acorns, lol

Just another little follow up video from the fox den one week later at a different scary hole entrance. This one shot with my refurbished Dark Ops. It's gonna be a very sad day when these Brownings die.

Congrats on that freak! Got any plans for that funky foot?

Gentlemen meet Debbie! I named her after my ex mother in law! She's one ugly nasty bitch with a big mouth, lol

That's because nimrods like you and me don't mature as fast as the bimbo female hunters, lol
-
I didn't know that, but I did look it up to confirm what you say is true, lol Perhaps they should take into consideration some of us still have a 3'rd grade level vocabulary and maturity level!

Can't wait to read the follow up report once all the adult bozos and asswipes hit the woods this week, lol

Way too many rules to keep up on when it comes to venison storage, transport, and sales..., that's why I mark all my packages of deer meat as "Eagle Breasts" before I do anything with them!

Here's something I have tried in a scenario similar to that. Head into your spot the evening before you intend to hunt and let a few turkey calls rip from your side of the road when you suspect birds to be on the roost on the other side. MAYBE you get lucky and those birds remember those sounds when they pitch down in the morning and sail right on over to your side. I had that work once with a flooded creek I couldn't cross and a patterned gobbler that sounded off every morning from the other side. He didn't exactly fly right in off the roost and I have no idea how or where he crossed, but I believe I got him so fired up the night before that he couldn't resist checking me out once the sun came up. If he hadn't been gobbling non stop all the way, I probably would have thought it was a different bird when he finally did show up on my side. Oh BTW- I never did kill that bird even after everything else went according to plan. By the time he showed up about 80yds out, he suddenly lost interest in coming any closer and waddled away gobbling his head off.

Very cool encounter and GREEEEEAT pics man! Grouse are another one of those birds I never have much luck getting close to.

You'll never catch Bill at this rate.... Better break out the spotlights and start swatting 'em off the roost tonight!

Last year I found out due to some medical reasons that I was physically unable to, and may never eat another piece of deer meat in my life.., but I still went out and killed a DOE! Chew on THAT for a little while.... I can honestly say to myself now that I'm not in it for the meat OR the antlers, but ALL for the experiences and encounters. Just put me in the woods surrounded by nature and I'll decide what trips my trigger any given day without feeling like I have to explain myself to anyone as to why I'm out there!

Those look like the wild tiger lilies that grow everywhere around here.

Yes again. Maybe I just hang around too many dens to know there really is little to no threat as long as you don't go looking for trouble in and around them. Your one year old should be under close watch whether he's around a fox den or in a shopping cart at the grocery store. It's up to the supervising adult to know just how much their kiddo can be trusted with what they've taught them when they turn their backs on them.
-
Short answer.... YES! I'd spend a lot of time with him there... teaching, appreciating, observing, and learning.

Same here. The woods here are blanketed in them as far as the eye can see right out my door across the entire property. I could never figure out why everyone would lose their minds over something that doesn't take much effort to find here. I've never tried the things to be honest with ya, and I have to believe that all onions are created equal and folks just enjoy the fact that these grow wild and they can "hunt" for them on their own. I mean how deliciously succulent can an onion of any kind be...lol? Are you supposed to eat the bulbs or the leaves? Maybe I'll dig a few to see what all the excitement is about, but I'm prepared to NOT be blown away!

Thanks guys! That was one of the clues that tipped me off the den was active again this year. She comes back from hunting with a mouth full of moles and dumps them off for the kits to play with and chew on. One of the 4 holes to this den had a bunch of fly covered moles and raccoon jawbones laying around it so that's the hole I set the cam over. I obviously hit the jackpot with that choice on the first day! I've got footage of her returning almost every hour on the hour with another mouth full of rodents. This fox family filled up a 32GB sd card in no time flat shooting 30 second clips. So much I just had to leave out of it.

Good luck, have fun, and be safe! Beware the scary northern holes!

Heeeey man, that's why you gotta hide 'em in your brownies man!
