Not to happy with the amounts of "birds of prey," that have been around lately. Love seeing them do what they do, but there seems to be an awful lot of them. Small game has diminished to a good extent. I most certainly would not shoot em, but if they have to be controlled, who would do it? Damn Coopers Hawk tried to impale me walking to the food plot. Guess it had little ones up there..lol

I would not do it. To much room for error. Buddy had a horror story that I wont repeat here. (Rifle) Its your deer, your decision. Cant take a shot back though. Once it is in the air, that's it. Got a scare with a doe I took this year. Hit a little low, almost no blood at all. (rifle) Had a sinking feeling in my gut. The doe ran 80 yards, and died. Shot through the heart, why no blood, no idea. But that was a crappy feeling. With a head shot, the potential is there that if the deer moves slightly.....Aint pretty.

Yeah, used to be so many quail on LI it was crazy. I would say up to like 12-15 years ago.

Yup. Took my doe the last 15 minutes of a 10 day hunt this year. Buck on the last day of rifle. (Still waiting for the muzzy though, nothing with it yet)

Well bagged a buck on the last day of regular season! I went up to camp with my buddy, was not really expecting anything because I hunted 10 days straight from the opener, and saw plenty of deer, just not anything I wanted to shoot. (Except a doe I took) This large buck decided to step out. An 8, but weighed more than me, lol. (I am 5' 10" 187)
