10-4, thanks. I guess the co-op will know what it is?
-
I would like to keep up with it though. Going to be my "regular" lawn someday.

Hi, well not really a land management post, I thought this would be a good place to ask. Up at the camp, I have about a half acre of pretty nice lawn. It is being taken over by weeds though. What could I spray on it? I have a 25 gallon tank sprayer for the ATV. Thanks.

I use winter rye a lot, but plant it in the fall. The deer keep it mowed down in the early fall/winter. Once spring hits, it grows rapidly, and either the deer cant keep up with it, or it is not a prefered food in spring, I dont know.

Cops are different, when hurt on the job. 100% for a certain time period.

I have been fly fishing for over twenty years, so I am an expert. Um, not. lol. While I have been fly fishing for over 20 years, just usually a few times a year. I have caught some nice fish though. Some nice brookie's in Adirondack ponds, to some bass in my ponds. One thing I will have to say though, is I cast unbelievably better with the Orvis rod, than some of the other cheaper stuff. I always catch trees. That is a problem, lol.

Already been done. But was stopped. http://www.nytimes.com/2003/11/22/us/special-registration-for-arab-immigrants-will-reportedly-stop.html

Seriously though. I leave mine on the side of the house for a few months. Let the rain take care of it.

. 7M 7 pointer, only saw one Buck. Could have shot a Doe a couple of times but passed. I would have passed on anything less than 6, just my personal thing.

I have a Burris Fullfield 2. It is agood scope. It will get the job done, no problems. The Leupolds I own are better, no doubt. When I go out with the Burris, I dont think about it.

Moron Wildlife Occupied Arrested
Ford replied to Uptown Redneck's topic in Gun and Hunting Laws and Politics Discussions
I feel bad for the State Trooper who shot him, making him do that is bullshite. I dont know the officers political views, but most rural police are going to be pretty conservative. The politics aside, when you are pulled over, run from the police, are known to be armed, and there is a warrant out for your arrest, I think you should comply, then take it up in court. Every LEO would be shouting at this guy to get on the ground, that is how they are trained. As a cop, you are not there to negotiate anything, you are there to effect an arrest. You dont wait once those hands go down. Much to dangerous. (Obviously) -
Yeah, lol. Not the strongest genes right there.

Yeah, they hit a bunch of places, including my neighbor. They not only took everything of value, they cut out any copper pipes they could find, and vandilized the places. One of the camps had a big propane tank, filled with about 800 dollars of fuel, and they opened the valve and left. I think I was not hit because I have a ridiculous amount of cameras visible. (And some not visible)

These guys hit a whole bunch of camps in my area. Someone got a trail cam photo of them. http://www.syracuse.com/crime/index.ssf/2016/01/photos_nys_police_ask_for_help_finding_lincklaen_burglars.html

Thats, um, disturbing.

I shoot the red squirrels imediadetly around my camp. I dont do anything with them. I would not really call it hunting though. I shoot them for the damage they do. And Chipmunks. Keep them thined out around my place. Otherwise I would have a lot of ruined equipment. Grey squirrels, if I had any, I would eat of course.

CCW pocket stuffer suggestions ..

Love my LCP. I have an earlier one that has no real sights to speak of, just a notch and a bump for a front sight. It is suprisingly accurate, for what it is. -
Describe the techniques you used to attract deer this 2015 season
Ford replied to Rockspek's topic in Deer Hunting
There is actually an acorn call. Lol. I am not kidding. My buddy got me one a few years ago. It makes the noise of a deer eating an acorn! -
Well, there is is a huge problem with the way our forests are managed. This probably would not come in to play on LI, or some of the more urban/suburban areas, but bare with me. There is a huge program to log the state lands making them more beneficial to wildlife. I posted this before, but it went unnoticed. We definetly need a program like this, for many reasons. And it should be much more aggresive, like 30 to 60% in my opinion. Here is the link. http://www.eregulati...est-initiative/
