  1. Why would you or anyone else be disturbed by my post? I never posted anything about the "event." I was just giving you some friendly advice about posting anything from that kook Alex Jones.
  2. Ok, lets try again. He said 144 people arrived at JFK with no ID's. That is not true. And there is your "fact." The airlines wont even board passengers with no ID.
  3. Here is some good news. The Young Forest initiative. http://www.eregulations.com/newyork/hunting/the-young-forest-initiative/
  4. I believe he is saying, wich is true, that you can own a bp pistol, without a pistol licsense. Once you take posession of the means to load it, and fire it, you are in violation of the law. If you had a rifle in the same cal. you could say the components are for the rifle, not the pistol. Of course if you got caught shooting the pistol or carrying it, you would be in a world of hurt without a pistol lic.
  5. Do yourself a favor, and dont use this guy in furtherance of any argument or debate. I dont know if he just lies about stuff, or is really incompetent. He says "144 people with no id's landed at jfk airport." Not true, add that to the long list of things that he says that have no basis in reality. Like 9/11 was an inside job.
  6. Just a question, would you have taken the six if you saw him again later in the season? I probably would. That is pretty much my personal preference, 6 or better, might pass early though. I hunted hard up at the camp for 7 days. Well, hard for me, come in for lunch, lol. Not one buck seen. On the 8th day, Saturday I guess, I decided I would take a doe. I decided to sleep in too. Went out at noon, shot a 7 pointer. My bucks always come in when least expected.
  7. Good thread. Like seeing you guys taking some small game. I used to enjoy it on LI, but it is to much of a hassle now, and so much huntable habitat is gone now as well. I do have grouse up at the camp in Chenango county, but I usually "hunt" them while on my way to do something else. Lots of work, so the non deer season is filled with mowing that, clearing this, yada yada. I have flushed a few grouse on these excursions, but never have got a shot off, lol. Oh, and no grey squirrels, just red and chipmunks. Got to keep those numbers down near the camp, but not good eating, ha.
  8. Bought those Cabelas electric gloves two years ago, and the Thermacell insoles this year. Oh, its cheating, but I am warm finally! Best money I ever spent.

    Camp

I bet you guys have a ball in that place!
  10. Only a matter of time that it happens here. Again.
  11. It is interesting that some find it laughable that some of us look up sunrise and sunset times. Also interesting, is that they will actually call you out on it. They can not, in thier mind, get the fact that we follow the game laws. "They" think everyone "bends" them, I own my own land in a remote area. I could shoot a deer at midnight. nobody would ever know. I pack it up 15 minutes before, in case I jump someting on my way back to camp.
  12. Waterfowl is a half hour before, to sunset. Not after.
  13. Exactly. I own land bordered by thousands of acres of state land, and two other private properties. It is not uncommon to see someone hunting 50 yards from my property line, on the state land, facing my direction. Of course the neighbors get access, Not a problem. I would want to see where they were hunting, and the blood trail.
  14. Very much doubt it. Just look at UN military forces. Never done a thing. Ever.

    F&S

I used that stuff. I forget why, probably ran out of scent killer, so I decided to put a little of that Vagina secretion on the soles of my boots for a cover scent. (Lol) Anyway, I get to my tree stand, which faces the opposite direction of my approach, and climb up. A while later I hear something GALLOPING twords me from behind, then whatever it was crashed in to my tree so hard that I felt it shake. By the time I tried to stealthly turn around, it was gone. What I think happened, was that this buck was running with his nose right on the ground, over the scent, and inadvertenly crashed in to my tree. I have used the stuff ever since, but never again with any results like that.
  16. Here is a question. If you inadvertenly broke a game law, would you turn yourself in?
  17. The best reply I have seen in this thread was "Tell the neighbor you saw an ECO looking around."
  18. In my area there is definetly less deer. No doubt about it. I am guessing it is a localized, because I have not heard much about last winters kill. I am north of Binghampton, and up in the hills, more like central NY. I had 4 feet of snow in April, so that would explain it. A few miles a way there are plenty of deer.
  19. It is a very subjective question. I bought land to deer hunt on, spent a good amount of money, for me anyway. Plant a food plot every year, apple trees, set stands, etc. A non hunter would look at me like a die hard ,hardcore, fanatic. Truth is, if I shoot a deer I am happy. If not, the usual. lol.
  20. Yeah, around the corner from me as well. Mine came out good though. That is interesting because he came highly recommended to me. If you need a good butcher and don't feel like doing it yourself, let me know. I have a pretty good guy.
  21. The BP checkpoints are legal. Thousands upon thousands of people cross them every day without incident. It was looked at by the SCOTUS back in the 70's I believe.
  22. True. Imagine if she got through the BP hiring process? Imagine dealing with her at a checkpoint as an agent?
  23. In the beginning of the video the BP Agent said she was acting nervous. Of course she was nervous, she knew she was going to escalate the situation as much as possible.
  24. Cool deal. Got any photos of the new spread? A food plot in the dacks would be awesome. Those deer would go crazy for it. So few plots up that way.
