i Honestly don’t see that being much more convenient than pouring some premeasured 209 down the barrel, pushing down the slug and inserting a primer. I guess it takes one step out of the equation. That must be the step that deters so many from entering the sport. Haha.

Is that not just a deconstructed shotgun shell? Lol

This will work with the 56mm hog hunter and you can mount light on top of rings

Like zeek mentioned, I have always heard weight of ammo was reason military went with 223. Soldiers can carry twice as much as 308 ammo/mags weigh more than twice 223: RIFLE CALIBER WT. OF LOADED MAG M14 .308 Win 1 lb 7 oz. / 20 rounds M16 .223 Rem 0 lb 10.5 oz / 20 rounds

Red dot seems like a viable quick acquisition option and easy focus.

I don’t believe that your scent will be hidden but perhaps it would distract them or tick em off enough with the right scent to still draw em in. Didn’t order any yet but was looking at Texas raised predator death grip yesterday. Will likely grab some to try.

I had a failure to fire last year on a yote hunt. Ammo showed indent on primer. Just a bad round. But two bad rounds in a row maybe means bad batch or gun issue. never mind
-
I was there too but figured he wouldn’t send it in for a 2.5. Doesn’t look like much wear but I’m no expert.

Standing water year round 2’ deep is not something I have dealt with. I have no doubt deer will travel through it. But I think there has to be high ground for them to bed there. The fact that there exists trees there would suggest some high ground. Can you see and follow deer trails? Any other sign?
-
Cattails? Scout it. Walk the deer trails. Often there are high points where they can bed. Large trees are a give away but not all high spots have the trees. And if you can find the bedding, then you can assess how to hunt it. It will depend. Swamps hold deer, especially when pressure is on. Those drivers prove they are hiding there. Figure out where and movement from the beds. Also, sometimes you can see defined trails and where they converge from satellite pics. Good place to start.

American Tactical Omni Maxx Hybrid AR

Never looked into it because it didn't impact me but can ARs that were registered remain non-compliant and be used? I know you had the option to not register if you modified the AR to be compliant (as I am sure the 956,000 guns unregistered NY ARs were modified - lol). -
We were not tossing bodies off of it, just taking a leak. Take the cannolis …..

Wow and Biz thought a replacement cape was bad. I would rather have a euro. Those look a bit too phony to me.

I don't believe so. I have limiters installed when hunting yotes. -
You won't have an issue seeing the red dot even when using a red kill light. Its a good combo.

I use pmags. Honestly,. people make far too much of the unloading issue. You are only charging it once before hunt and four times after to unload assuming you never shot (5 rounds max for hunting). It takes less than 10 seconds and most of that is looking for the ejected rounds. Would take more time to drop the plate and reassemble. -

was it registered during the registration period by your friend? -
I have 2 mounted on ARs without issue. It will depend on the specific mount you choose, but I have yet to have a clearance issue. One suggestion, keep the lighted reticle on low when hunting at night or you will get internal glare that makes the scope appear foggy. But if turned down to level 3 or less, its great.
