  1. Happy BDay Wooly! Hope its the best year yet buddy!
  2. Came out beautiful Jason. That full sneak is growing on me. Like the way you set the ears for the turn too!
  3. Never used it with a ladder. Maybe I would like that. Just the set up of sticks seemed like far more effort than dropping a ladder in place.
  4. The cheap ladder stands I use don’t weigh much. Honestly I don’t think there is much public around me that would give me better odds than private. But you guys have a bit more that may be highly productive. Enjoy the new found freedom.
  5. If there is a true need to go mobile I can see the benefit of a saddle or even light hang on - like hunting massive public lands, scouting and setting up immediately on hot sign. But for the small acreage I hunt, I can move a basic ladder solo in less time. I had a saddle and sold it. But you never know until you try.
  6. Doesn’t help that my longest walk is less than 500yds and I have never packed a thing out in my life. Mounted to an ATV would be more appropriate but tough to hang on a wall.
  7. I think this is really neat but WNY bowhunter doesn’t agree. Lol
  8. No complaints. Great season. Would have been nice if the new hunters I took out had connected on the shots they took but that’s hunting.
  9. Based on Bobs knowledge of field. So I am thinking it was much more accurate. Lol
  10. 3 sets tonight with culver. Only 1 dog. Yote at 250ish and working field edge towards us. Stepped into woods not to be seen again. Maybe should have shot. Tried to be patient.
  11. Seems like you can but post season for this price most years
  12. I tend to pick mounts based on where I have room to hang em. That’s a cool mount you have. Just not sure where it would go.
  13. For $99 shipped. Good deal for anyone looking.
  14. If I mount this one, any future will just be pelt or tail. Would love a big yote full body mount too. Working on it. Lol
  15. Culver’s buddy is a dog taxi so looking into it. It’s a good size male and the first I killed calling so it would be cool. Pretty big hole in neck but looks more like a slit and hopefully repairable. Fur is nice but not bright red more sandy red. Has some gray spots too. Mount like this would be cool.
  16. Let’s go. @treeguy will pick u up.
  17. Thanks All. Not sure what I will do with him. Pelt or mount. He is a nice fox. Plans are one Fox Mount and one yote.
  18. I have learned that if you just keeping driving over the snow, it all packs down anyways. No shoveling or front loader needed.
  19. Flash reflecting off yote eyes 5' away. Or I think thats what treeguy is suggesting. Perhaps I am that good of a caller
  20. I think I had switched to tit mouse tantrum when this guy showed. Some female howls followed by pups in distress bought in the yote.
  21. So I took out a friend that has never hunted dogs and only hunted deer once. His hands were too cold for set 2. No gloves. Called it after set 1. But had 2 Fox and one yote come in. 10 min into calling I was talking to Matt and asking him to scan faster as I was only using scope and he had scanner. Tough to cover whole field from scope and he was moving way to slow.. Get back on scope and Fox 1 is running from caller into woods. Couldn’t get on him fast enough. Dumb move 1. 5 min later fox 2 comes in from behind us about 75yds south. Got on him and he dropped. I then give up gun to Matt. Dumb move 2. Lol. 10 min later and after a few call change ups there is a big yote about 150yds away. I whisper to Matt to turn and get on him. As I am watching through scanner Matt confirms he sees him. I whisper shoot, shoot. Nothing. Then yote turns sideways and starts to run and he fires. Swing and a miss. Call for a while more and nothing Fun set. Might get out tomorrow on a different property. The red is a big male. Nice to finally put one down. I owe it all to treeguys stellar tutelage. Seriously I was happy to call 3 dogs in even if we only finished on one.
