  1. Much like myself, I don’t think Larry has been hunting much. But he is good. Sent me a pic of a dandy taken near his place on Monday. He didn’t mention. His hairy armpit adventures though.
  2. Congrats Ben. Way to break in that new rifle!
  3. I am surprised Eddie. My baffins are almost too warm. They are big and clunky but crazy warm. Not sure of the model, but rubber with a thick insulated insert.
  4. well I was happy to get a pic of one of the big guys I didn't close the deal on twice in bow was still on his feet last night. Maybe a good chance come later in the season on PM hunt. Hope he sticks tight.
  5. My daughter just said she is going with me. Yay. I don’t care if I don’t shoot a thing. Some me with her hanging in the blind is priceless. It’s been a while. Good luck all.
  6. Debated but going with the 6.5 creed. Most accurate semi I ever shot.
  7. Start walking in around 5:50-6, drop my buddy off at a stand by 6:10, get in my stand 5 min later and shoot a giant at 6:42am. Thats the plan.
  8. Not picking an argument but honestly Mowin in 4x4 spinning out us not really much of an issue and my property is a lot of wetlands. On rare occasion, I have gotten stuck but I still prefer having the power to not having it. And yes it’s lots of fun when doing 60 plus in the fields. Could I live without that power, not sure as I have always had it. But I sure don’t regret it.
  9. How about this one. How many feet away from those antlers is he posing. Lol. Based on the photo a hammock should fit and be comfortable.
  10. The size difference sucks when sitting in them lol
  11. You will be fine with a 700 for those plots belo. Talk to culver about making a tow behind plow. I tried other implements and nothing works better than what he made and designed.
  12. It all depends on the type of plot - if I were doing 10s of acres with crops that require deep seeding like corn, tractor for sure. But if you are doing small hunting plots with clover or brassicas or wheat, the atv is plenty. I have never had an issue with weight or traction, but I am a fata$$ with a heavy ATV.
  13. If the market is anything like pick ups, I will happily sell my 4yr old Can Am Outlander Max for MSRP!
  14. Chicken french over pasta with a nice salad and rolls for me most hunts. I pack light. My butler carries the food in.
  15. I have the outlander max limited. Great machine but mine is the 4x4.
  16. exactly why I went with an ATV - easier to maneuver in tight spots
  17. My can am is plenty capable to do plots. Its a 1000. I would not hesitate to spend the extra on a 700 and plan to use it for everything vs. renting a tractor. Add one of Culver's tow behind plows after using glysophate to clear weeds and you can do a really solid plot.
  18. Not just you. That is like a long arm fish photo. Nice buck but not what it appears.
  19. Still a few bucks moving. Hopefully they are around Sat.

    PA trip

I have to say, having come to know Lee (who generously helped me out before), it doesn't surprise me a bit. I truly believe he would rather see Kaiden shoot a giant at his place than take one himself!
