They are big though. Ordered 14 and if I take the inserts out I bet shaq could wear them. Might be tough on our tiny cheap ladder stands. Worth a shot if they are as warm as claimed. Only sporting one set of socks so we shall see.

Miss hunting or shots. Lol

Alright challenge accepted. I am heading out at 1pm with my bow (compound). I am guessing getting a doe close enough for a bow shot may be the greater difficulty than the actual shot. Might just tote the ML along too just in case. Trying the Baffin boots and madbomber hat for first time. Otherwise my apparal won't be any different than a cold day in bow season. Decided to work morning and try afternoon today. Tomorrow is morning and afternoon. Then I am officially done.

So what say you. Are morning hunts worth a shot at this time of year. I know pm hunts over food work but do I try to catch em going back to bed in the am? Thinking about trying tomorrow.

I am guessing it's the large violent local deputy with 40 big whitetail mounts who passed on. Not sure you did a good job of preserving his identity Pygmy.

Must have been some awkward conversations with those who knew the truth. So really Jack, which one did you shoot? Lol

I am not a fan of high fence hunting but I wouldn't criticize the guy for that so long as he is honest about it. Under these circumstances he will get a bad rap whether its deserved or not.
-
Proving my point. Guilty or not he will be seen as such.
-
Sounds like he was set up. He didn't report it as public land. Some other friend or family member did claiming to be him. Feel bad for him. Doesn't sound like he is the liar but will be remembered as that guy.

You forgot Yankees! Sometimes.
-
Yep - congrats eddie!
-
And you should be for the price. Are they warm or primarily tear proof?
-
Now that's old school, rifle, pants, pack - the whole deal!

That is funny ANTLERS. Its always fun and exciting finding rubs, until they are on the new trees you just spent a lot of money to have planted in your yard. Ask me how I know.

Is this area now a food plot, bedding area or transition zone? -
Any .25 PCP would work and they are very quiet. I should qualify, this would need to be fairly close range, maybe 50yds or less, I would think.

OK - I am not that old, experienced or wise, but I have learned that enjoying the success of others that hunt can be just as satisfying as knocking down your own big buck. -

Great question and answers. I look forward to all the wisdom to be shared in this thread from the old folks! -
I agree 100 percent.

That's a very cool gun to score with at the buzzer. Well done!

John has herds of giant bucks every year. PM me for the coordinates to his best hunting stands. -
Must have been on vacation from southern tier.

I post some others no - no rhyme or reason. I expect many decline to post to keep good areas under wraps as suggested. Either way, its a huge leap to assume anyone that doesn't post is shooting deer illegally. Kind of silly. -
Thanks Larry. Around 50lbs at my DL.
