  1. Dibellas sub tonight. Meh. Nothing special. Jealous of Biz.
  2. Perhaps Larry302 can let us know. He is clearly the expert.
  3. Agree Larry. Non hunters and even some hunters have no interest whatsoever. Kinda like me with rare rocks. Lol
  4. It's possible it's ego, but letting other rock collectors know you found a rare one because they appreciate its rarity and the dedication it takes to find that rock is not the same as saying look, I am the best rock collector. Often our views of others motives are colored by our own motivation. Agree to disagree that ego is the sole motive. Heck if the rock collector explains how he found that rock, it helps the other rock collectors to potentially find the same rare stone. Is that ego or helping others with the same interest. Check out hunting beast. Some top notch hunters with little ego helping others to achieve their goals. Pretty nice IMO.
  5. Nice buck for sure. He must know he is safe standing there
  6. If one collects rocks, I assume finding a rare rock is both more exciting and challenging than finding a common one. It doesn't mean the rock collector is trying to impress anyone. Feel free to substitute "rack" for "rock". Lol
  7. I don't know, I kinda like the big uglies. Not sure why. lol
  8. Nice barn, work and property!
  9. http://tradtalk.com/#/forums/33 loc (John) do just warfed a sage wood riser. He would be the guy to ask.
  10. I know Sam has converted wood risers but I think he avoids them now. Plus, riser geometry is a biggie. Some work some don't. I think a fair amount of deflex plus favorable pocket angles are key. The black bear is one of the favored risers for warfing. Look up warf recurves. I think tradtalk has an entire forum or sub forum devoted to them.
  11. Thanks Stone. I will let him know. He enjoys it. Makes a mess of the kitchen though. I guess that's baking. Lol
  12. Somebody in Arkansas that has converted hundreds of these old compounds. Name is Sam Dunham. He and a gentlemen named Loc Do seem to have the market cornered on converting old compound risers to accept ILF limbs.
  13. My son, who is quite the baker, decided to make camo buck cupcakes for our birthday from scratch. I was impressed. Camo frosting and even the cake was camo. Plus I still don't know how he drizzled chocolate so well to make the buck heads. Tasted as good as they looked.
  14. Pink string - thanks Steve B - and purple arrows arrived yesterday. I am jealous of her bow! lol
  15. Well about 50% fitting on rides. 4 walks of shame. All the good coasters too. Lol. Relaxing at water park while kids slide. They are having a blast though. Have to look for "What If". Getting hungry.
  16. Thanks again all. Breakfast and off to the park.
  17. Happy BDay fletch. I knew someone famous must have been born on the same day as me. You and Danny Aiello.
  18. Thanks all. My son and I share the same birthday so I surprised him by coming home at lunch and gathering the family for a unplanned trip to Hershey PA for the park tomorrow. Just finished a lousy steak with good conmpany at outback and resting in the hotel while the kids swim. Tomorrow will be a long day. Under/over on how many roller coasters I can't squeeze into tomorrow? Lol Appreciate the well wishes.
  19. Not going to guess but Pygmy is very resourceful!
  20. They last that long only because you prefer going commando Dan!
