Going with a spear this year. They will have to be under my stand like in First Blood.

It hunts bigger than 40 acres due to all of the transition lines, but there are a couple that haven't been sat the last few years.

Believe it or not, I have 21 stands set in my 40 acre swamp. lol

Started working at 2 properties this past weekend and we have some cams out already. Got the first pic of a fawn yesterday. Good thing about small parcels, you start to know them after a few years and only need to make minor stand adjustments, if any, usually to get on deer. Scouting is more observation from prior year than anything.

Those look great Grow. I was thinking of Dunstans but not sure how they would fair. How many years until they produce? Those look real healthy!

Cleaning trails today and our buddy's bobcat with a York rake made quick work of it (not sure why we haven't used it in the past) so we decided to throw in 3 small clover plots. Not sure they are needed but won't hurt. A few more times with the mower, one more stand and clearing lanes in august and we should be good at this property.
