1. Just christened the new black widow bow on a doe. Had to stand on the seat and shoot behind me. Right though that little window in the middle of this photo: http://s225.photobucket.com/user/moog5050/media/2BCBEBDE-06F7-459B-9F27-42539A700A6F.jpg.html] not the plan but sometimes you have to adapt. Waiting a bit to get her as others are hunting. But I heard the crash and moan so I am pretty confident.
2. If I think it's 3yrs old or older, I am not likely to pass. Sounds like a great opener.

4. Been a tough year. The water temps and screwy winds stopped the large mass staging like normal. I think they are trickling in. Saw some yesterday way up irondequoit creek but still sparse. Good luck. We are pulling the boat this week. Time to hunt.
5. Congrats core, wny, and Chris. One good buck sighting and all 3 of my group had doe in range. No arrows loosed. Maybe this afternoon.
6. Is he on a feeding pattern now that works wind wise for where you plan to hunt him. That would be the deciding factor for me. If you just know he is around, but no real pattern, I would wait it out like Grampy said. If he is on a daily pattern, go get him before that changes. Just my opinion.
7. Looks more like a dog: https://www.google.com/search?q=coyote+tracks&ie=UTF-8&oe=UTF-8&hl=en-us&client=safari#imgrc=UIDsgn6oVWeWzM%3A
8. Gotta make a living. That show ended long ago.
9. Geeze I laughed at my buddy who bought one and you all swear by them. Perhaps I was wrong. Nah can't be. I am always right as confirmed by my better half.
10. I really like the flip over mittens for gun. Good buy.
11. Just couldn't help myself. Last 20yd group before I hit the stand on Sat. http://s225.photobucket.com/user/moog5050/media/983557E3-27E5-4615-9E71-4234776F191A.jpg.html]
12. Standard grip and I think it was around 6-8 weeks for the bow. Much quicker than I expected. That said, I waited until they had lumber I liked to place the order. BW will send photos of the actual woods available if you email them. At 25", 56" may be perfect for you. You might want to also look at the border covert hunter if you want something short that shoots like a longer bow. The big hooks on those limbs result in a longer AMO but in a very compact package.
13. Not sure your DL, but I had a used 56" for a while. It was too twitchy for me and stacked a bit. I have close to a 29" DL with the recurve and the 58" is perfect. As short as I will go to maintain my accuracy and draws smooth. Could have just been the bow I had, but I am much more accurate with the 58". I would at least try one before dropping the cash. They have a program where they will send you one to try. Good luck. You are welcome to shoot mine if you are near Rochester.
14. Loving the widow Its a PCHXS (58" and 50lb). If you are looking for an all wood bolt down recurve, I would highly recommend it.
15. Yes, the hypos are fine. Not barbed.
16. Cut today is promising for Sat. Good luck
17. I agree KE is more telling than DW. Some would argue that momentum is a better measurement than KE but in simple terms and all other things being equal, more DW produces more of both. I guess rage tries to keep it simple for the majority of archers. Anyways, you know best what works for you.
18. No, just season 2 with the recurve. My point was that feather integrity is important, at least for a recurve, and the camp dry helps in the rain. I assumed most feather shooters use a trad bow since vanes are more convenient and will fly well from any compound. Vanes don't fly as well for me from the recurve but like bowguy mentikned, I shoot off a wood shelf.
19. Again not arguing it won't kill deer but even according to the manufacturer, that's borderline. I don't like borderline. Just my opinion.
