Good luck Grizz. You can only kill what is there. Nothing wrong with those bucks. I hope they stick around.

Northern Tier hunter looking for some advice

I only hunted there once in turkey and that is a statewide tag. Did see deer though. -

Letchworth in 8h is solid. No issues getting that DMP but there isn't a lot of other good public in 8h that I am aware of. -
May be bedding a ways away. Hope he makes a few trips by you during daylight while chasing those doe.

I use camp dry on my feathers - seems pretty good and I have heard its durable.

Is it really a "haircut" with nothing growing?
-
Be sure to tie the top and bottom together (don't want to have to shimmy down the tree if bottom slips) and take your time climbing. Enjoy.

I have the summit goliath. Don't use it much, but did at one time and it is very comfortable and stable.

Vortex will be good. I have a Bushnell elite 3200 on mine and like it. Can be purchased used for $200 or less, I think.

Camera Recommendations

My iphone sucks. I recommend against that cam, or maybe its just me. -
Great group at 50 Db

"Prove me wrong. I know what every person that hunts with a bow thinks and if They don't think as I claim, then they are insignificant." Talk about absurd. Nonetheless, phade made his point on your limited objective arguments. And we did all kill doe in our first hunt last year and will likely do so again. But then again, you know better right Stubby? i truly give every person the benefit of the doubt but you have unfortunately removed all doubt at this point. Good luck this gun season.

Well I pulled the recurve out tonight and shot good at 20 and 30. Then I saw that 50yd bag. Why not. Never shoot beyond 35 with the recurve but the target was there. So, I met my match. Not horrible for my first two groups but it's tough to gap when your point is 1.5' over the bull. I did guess it just about right though. It was like throwing logs shooting 650g arrows from my 53lb recurve. It was fun. I will do better next time but the deer are safe for now

No need to stubby, you have admitted your narrow mindedness in your prior posts! Well done. Not easy to admit our flaws.

Easy fix. Just break them off. Right? Lol jerry nailed it. Some of us are squeezed by the rest. Keep eating your wife's wing dip. You will understand some day.

I wouldn't pass him. That's about all I know for score. Good luck. Would be killer to shoot him in velvet.

Well I am glad he confirmed I and some others that posted are insignificant. Perhaps he meant the exception. Yeah, that's it. We are exceptional. Lol When I was a young lawyer, I once heard a senior partner tell a group of us, if you are going to make a mistake at least do it consistently. He would be proud of Stubby.

Keep at it Rockspek, you will get there. What changed from first to second shot? Try to keep your pin relaxed on the target even after you release the arrow. It helps to avoid major misses. I suspect after shot 1, your bow hand flew up and to the left. That could be poor alignment, but holding on target will help even with less than perfect alignment. You will have plenty to time to see the arrow in the target later.

I would guess cat too, but have no experience with Fishers

Looks like it would work great. We use a lot of the cheap basic ladder stands with seats that don't move and small platforms that don't extend to the tree and even they work fine when you are accustomed to them. I weigh over 300 and never had an issue. That stand would be like moving from a studio apartment to a big house for me. lol

Lobster claw is on my hit list

Good to know but I thought every deer in OH was Boone and Crocket - born that way. -
I tuck mine in my phone case in the back. I always carry my phone, so its always with me and safe. I did drop it once hunting but "find my iphone" came in very handy to find the phone in a field. Not sure if there is a find my wallet app.

Nice elite and paper tune! I have that same bow vice but don't remember who made it.
