  1. You know, my Henry 30-30 loves core lokt and it killed deer just fine. I have at least 10 boxes of that but bought the lever action based on the hype.
  2. Seriously? I have like 15 boxes of it for my 30-30. Maybe I can retire now.
  3. I think I am going with the Sako Bavarian carbine 308, zeiss hd5 conquest 3-15 and 180g powemax bonded this year. Hoping to shoot a dandy at 20yds which makes it all overkill. Lol
  4. Thanks Grampy but I think you played a role in his success fishing!
  5. Between you and WNY I knew Stueben Co and IA were one in the same! Geeze.
  6. Thank you! He wants to be the next lead designer for Gucci or some other over priced designer. Lol. Wants to attend FIT. I give him credit, his portfolio is impressive and he is an excellent artist. Just not a field that I would pursue but if that’s his dream…..
  7. Perhaps - I am not a fan of the city, but he has his dreams.
  8. Yep, my daughter started 8th grade in a new school district yesterday. Went well as she already made new friends that she was texting last night. My son took the semester off from college and is hoping to transfer to a new school in the spring (in NYC ugghhh). My two step kids start today - 9th and 4th grade. Unlike Tacks, I am moving backwards I think. All good!
  9. My method is similar. 3-4 hours in smoker at 205 with rub applied, wrap in tin foil and go another 3hrs, let sit and add preferred bbq sauce and grill for 30-45 min. in a rush, I have par boiled like Dan but unlike Dan, I am allowed to use a smoker given the time to do so.
  10. Just curious how many like fall off the bone vs the more traditional tender but still some adhesion? 321 works great for fall off the bone but I actually braise it less and smoke it outside of the foil a bit longer sine I prefer some adhesion to the bone. How do y’all cook em?
  11. Sounds like it may be better than the norm
  12. I know clover draws well until the first and even second hard frost. I know nothing about alfalfa. Bob had to tell me what it was.
  13. Oh and our fields which are usually beans and corn are alfalfa and clover. How is the draw for alfalfa and how long does it draw? Thx
  14. Trails cleared, stands ready - one new one set, lanes cleared and cameras set. One was still taking pics (not sending them since I suspended the cell account) from setting it last summer. Some decent bucks on it for this early. Thanks for the help to Culver Creek. Should be a fun season.
  15. A few I would like to see in person this year: I had that one with the funky left side in range twice last year and didn’t seal the deal. Big big body on him. The last one was from a few years ago in Mendon but just one that impressed me
  16. I am planning to fire the up the cams this weekend, but I don't expect much until later Oct.
  17. Best wishes for a complete and fast recovery to both of ya.
