Happy Birthday!

Great idea! It'll be much cheaper now than if you get it when hes of age. Itll be payed off with in 10 years and then he'll have 50 more years at least of free hunting.

what are peoples results planting chicory
ATbuckhunter replied to land 1's topic in Land Management, Food Plots and QDM
Planting chicory and clover is a pretty standard blend. Pretty much always works and works from the year you plant it too. -
Put some turkey loads on paper this morning.

I got out and shot last week when I was placing my ground blind for the season. All it took was two shots. It was dead on, the first shot, but I wanted to make sure so I shot it again but this time at 30 yards. First one is at 20 and the second is at 30. I'm confident out to 45 with this load. It's hevi shot mag blends. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk -
That bucket must smell terrible lol

That's great! I always stay right there at one of those hotels when I go up to the salmon river. Glad to see they're back. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

I would try horse if it was given to me, but I would never eat dog or cat. There arent too many mammals I wouldn't eat unless they carry trichinosis.

On my way to Roscoe on Tuesday I saw 2 strutting on top of a small hill off 84. It was pretty cool to see.

I thought the tail water stayed relatively cold through out the year compared to the streams around it Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

First time for me too. I used to pass it when I would join my grandfather hunting up the road from there, so I figured id try it out

I've always been against full inclusion, but i also always felt that we should allow those that are above the age of 60 to be able to use them during bow season. Only reason Im against it is because I feel like a lot of those guys who never practice for deer season will get crossbows thinking they can take 60 yard shots and will end up wounding a bunch of deer.

30-30's are good for shots out to 150 if you know what your doing, but an 06 can push your range to 200 or even up to 400 if you know what you're doing. A good bolt action will generally have better accuracy than a lever action or semi auto based on the tolerances on the guns.

Right off the bridge in woodbourne. Fished above and below it.

Got out today after setting up a ground blind for turkey season and patterning my gun. Tried the neversink river and I might have gotten one hit. Not sure because I looked behind me and only caught the strike indicator going back up. Tried a hares war in the pocket water and the head of a large pool (where I got the hit) and then switched to a black ghost streamer. By the end of the day there was ice building up in the guides. Water was warmer than the beaverkill and crystal clear. I even saw what I think was a tan caddis walking on one of the rocks. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Yeah I'm only going now because I'm on spring break. I usually go down to FL to fish, but we're closing in a house so we couldn't go down this time. Sucks because the pompano fishing was really taking off. I'm just doing this to pass some time and maybe catch a fish Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Your guess is as good as mine. I'm going to try the neversink tomorrow. Looks like the water temps are a little warmer there Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Looking forward to learning along with you in this thread!

Well I lost three so does that count haha. I put a split shot about 6 or so in he's above the fly to get it down. Should I place it higher up? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

I'll take a picture of my set up when I get home and you let me know what you think of it. Combination of tough conditions and not knowing what I'm doing isn't the best lol Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Just let me know when you'll be in the area and I'll be there! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Nymphs and a streamer. Stonefly, pheasant tail and hares ear. I'm sure there was something wrong with the way I set it up. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Went out today to the beaver kill. I couldn't get a single confirmed bite. My fly was pretty messed up after one of the possible hits. Don't really know the trout fishing game, so I think I'm going to strike out on Thursday, but if anyone wants to come by and show me a thing or two your more then welcome.
