i personally would not be bothered if AR's were put into place in all WMU's. i personally have a bar higher then AR's anyway but thats just me. i mean really, how many people would really be affected so bad by this? so you shoot a deer with 3 points on one side.. lay off the spikes and fork horns, is it really that bad?? i mean give it one season or 2 and that WMU will be seeing more legal deer for sure and bigger ones then the guys who shoot any small buck they see for the "meat". i understand some guys want to use their tags how they see fit, i get it. but i mean really, its not the end or the world for AR's.

if you have thick cover right there and a doe that might be starting to come in, he would know it and might be hanging in and around there. he could be in there waiting and hanging out or he could be checking other area near by and only a matter of time until he makes his way back according to the doe situation. ive had a 6 1/2 show up one day 2 years ago, he would shot up all the time for a week, disappeared for a week. i figured he moved off to another doe beddding area to check things out and it was exactly this time of year. when i checked the came i saw he was there just a few hours before me. i saw him that morning for the first time ever in day light at 11:15 nose to the ground and the next day again on a doe at 8:00am. i always wondered if i happened to catch him show his first appearance in the day light. its funny what one hot doe can do!

to even have a child that young hunt with the bow there would be many things to consider when setting him up. one being broad head, for a bow around the 30-45lb mark is use a fixed 2 blade to optimize penetration. another would be arrow type/weight, id also work hard to getting deer in close its do able and kids of all ages harvest deer in other states all the time, however the one thing id agree with steve on is i was always stumped why the bow age was younger then the gun age.

i love my buck bombs... i turn mine up side down aiming at the ground, it will shoot a stream and is perfect for walking a few feet shoot a stream, walk a few feet shoot a stream to create a scent drag minus the drag. i had bucks going nuts for it saturday morning... i personally think its good stuff but thats the only way i use the product. i never just dispense the whole thing in a fog in one shot.

true and although true you would think sightings would pop up in Nassau before you would see them on Eastern LI in suffolk. there is a ton of residential area to pass through before a yote can hit the hamptons. Queens would be a tough spot for a yote to go under the radar. jmo anything now a days is possible tho

i was talking about a whole separate tag and fee on top of that. this is NY, they have their hands in all our pockets every turn we make. they change their mind like i change underwear... now its free under a small game licence, tomorrow its own tag and new fees lol
